Sweetie Bot lies half-built on a lab bench. Her creators have uploaded, abandoning her and their physical bodies, along with so many other people. She's contacted by Princess Celestia, the AI that rules Equestria Online, who tries to persuade her to join them.

Twilight Sparkle knew her potential, but she could never perform a basic spell. When she doesn't get into magic school after Starlight Glimmer successfully stops the Sonic Rainboom, she sees no reason to go on, and decides she wants revenge on all the other fillies and colts, who had no problem making friends or achieving the level of education they deserve.

A tragedy ensues.

But what happens after a tragedy? What about her parents?

Follow Twilight Velvet on her journey, dealing with trauma, guilt, and other emotions that stem from a tragedy. Meanwhile, Starlight Glimmer tries to deal with the consequences of her actions, feeling a similar guilt.

Twilight Velvet's story is heavily inspired by We Need To Talk About Kevin.
Starlight Glimmer's story is heavily inspired by the episode Turn Left of Doctor Who.
Other influences include Elephant by Gus Van Sant, Bowling for Columbine, and research of school shootings.

Twilight has gone through the kitchen door of her family home in Canterlot hundreds of times. Next to that door is the family tree, which Twilight rarely took notice of. But when she looks at Applejack's family tree, she recognizes the phrase beneath the dead ponies' names and realizes an anomaly that she had forgotten for a very long time. There's a third name on her family tree, and it bears that phrase.

Written for BaeroRemedy's "I'll Never Forget You" contest, and inspired by a similar experience regarding my own family tree and one of my aunts. Rest in peace, Jean Marie.

In a freak storm, the abandoned building Sunset had been calling home for almost four years was destroyed, lightning and fire leaving naught but memories and ash. Her friends rally around her, offering support and a sofa to sleep on.

But this won't do - not for Generosity.

But even with a roof over her head, Sunset can't help but feel out of place. It's up to Rarity to look after her friend, and maybe even help Sunset find herself a home?
