It's been an eventful few years for the now-adult couple of Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara. Not only have they developed into something far more than friends, but also into a pair of fine young mares. At least, Apple Bloom thinks so and she hopes everypony else agrees, including Diamond.

Now, a month or so after the two have moved in together, it's Hearth's Warming and time for their many far-off friends to return to Ponyville and see how things are, both for the home and the mares living in it.

Tonight is when Scootaloo, the first such guest, arrives and can discover the first and re-acquaint herself with the second. Will she be able to handle it?

Almost certainly, but without any mimed gagging, eye-rolling or mild terror? That's something Apple Bloom's not so sure about.

Hearthswarming, the time of year when ponies all about Equestria come together, both family and friends, to kindle the love in their hearts and share gifts that speak more volume than words. By now, most were in their homes, or in the guest rooms of far away relatives, staying comfy and warm while the outside billowed and snowed, blanketing the landscape with a layer of white which twinkled under Luna’s bright moon.

However, not all ponies knew better, and for three close friends and lovers, this Hearthswarming Eve would prove to be a challenging night.

This was written for AndwhatIseeisme, for JingleMas 2020! They requested Starlight and Trixie shipping, and naturally I had to stalk them to see what they read and wrote. Once I caught my breath and put my pants back on, I noticed their love for a three way shipping of StarTrixBurst, so I rolled the dice and took the gamble and included him too. I hope you enjoy it!

This story was requested by TheHardie-Boy, and it is the second of two special 2-year Fimfiction anniversary stories to celebrate my being a writer on the site for 2 years. The Great and Powerful Matchmaker, a very different and non-HiE story, is the first of those two stories, if you will want to check it out too.

This story also takes place after the events of A Giant Adventure to Equestria. However, it's not required to read it first the enjoy this story, other than to learn how and why Eric Reed is in Equestria, and how his bonds with the other characters formed.

Applejack doesn't "do" dating. Everypony knows that. But after her brother and Sugar Belle get together, she decides it's finally time to give this whole "relationship" business a shot.
