When Spike decided that he was a special kind of dragon, he hadn't meant it literally. Now with a mysterious voice in his head, a growth spurt, and his friends, he's going to learn his own lessons about friendship, love, and the very essence of the world around him as he becomes the dragon he was always destined to become.

As they both begin to mature, Spike and Rainbow Dash have a conversation about life, love, and what it means to fly.

Losing your home isn't something that you get over in a day—Spike doesn't think so, at least. But Twilight insists that she's not overly distraught by the destruction of the Golden Oak Library, and she says that she's simply ready to move on. Spike, on the other hand, can't let go of his old home quite so easily. Is Spike just blowing this whole thing out of proportion, or is there something Twilight isn't telling him?

The Apple family and their tried and true traditions have always been the envy of Ponyville as far as families go. Applejack is one of the humblest ponies around, but can always openly pride herself in having a loving and nurturing family that she helps keep civilized.

Just recently, Applebloom and her friends just found out how all her friends got their cutie marks and how they were connected to each other all her lives. Great story, right?

Well, Spike has always been a careful listener. He needs to be when trying to keep a neurotic unicorn able to cause mayhem on a small country stable on a daily basis. So, when Twilight recalls the stories of her friends to the letter (quite literally since she made him write it down), he finds a discrepancy. It really couldn't be what he thinks, right? There's no way...right?

Well, that's why he is going to go check in on Applejack.

Takes place right after "Magic Duel" as well as a rewrite of one of my first stories. When Twilight forgives Trixie, the pony who banished the closest thing Spike has to a mother, Spike starts to lose trust in Twilight as well as his other friends for the way they all treated him all through his life, and runs away one night. He then comes across new friends, who are five orphaned colts. Will Spike return to Twilight and the others or will he lose his trust in them.

There on a small grassy hill lies five headstones, each inscribed with a different mark. Four immortals watch over their peaceful slumber. It is a sad day, but for whom? And what remains?

A story about a pegasus with a huge secret. He comes to Ponyville with many hopes and dreams. Will they be fulfilled? Or will he be shunned like every other place he has been?

Spike is tired of being small. He barely has grown since in Ponyville. He also wishes things will be different for him. He never really gets a chance to prove he is helpful whenever he feels it counts. However, that suddenly changes when he makes a new friend.

Cheating. It never leads to anything good. Hearts get broken, trust is lost, and lives are ruined. Unfortunately, even the best of relationships are not immune to it.

When it comes to light that Shining Armour has been in a secret affair with Rarity, it leaves Princess Cadence and Spike stunned and badly hurt. Leaning on each other for comfort, the two devise a plan to not only get revenge on the ponies that hurt them, but maybe even heal their broken hearts along the way.

Note: This fic was written during season 4 originally, so that's why Flurry Heart isn't mentioned.
