Big Macintosh is dragged to a party where he feels out of place. It seems, however, that there is a pony there to keep him company. It seems to be the start of a great friendship between the red stallion and the purple unicorn.

After a night of drinking, Big Macintosh and Rainbow Dash spend the evening together, however, neither can remember what exactly happened. While Rainbow brushes it off as if it was no big deal, Big Mac can't shake a strange feeling about that evening.

Big Mac needs to talk about some things.

This does not come easily to him.

Big Macintosh and Rainbow Dash, two vastly different ponies with very similar desires: to be recognized, respected and if they play their cards right... maybe even loved. Follow these two souls as they get to know one another, and together, find out what they are really made of.

Before Big Macintosh accepted his fate as an apple farmer he tried his hoof at some mercenary work. He moved out west and made a name for himself in the infamous Peacekeeper core. After a few years he grew tired of killing and moved back to Sweet Apple Acres to live out the rest of his life in peace. But it wasn't meant to last, Big Mac's past has caught up to him and its kidnapped the Apple Family. Now its up to to Big Macintosh to save them, donning his Peacekeeper gear for one final ride.

An excursion into Manehatten with his sisters finds Big Macintosh face to face with his favorite author, Silver Tongue. It just so happens that Big Mac is just the sort of pony that Silver Tongue has been looking for - someone he can tell a very special story.

Long ago, Celestia sealed her sister into the moon. Her subjects, however, began to fear her and the elements she wielded, seeing they could be used on anypony. Heart broken, she fled her kingdom, leaving it to the ponies who inhabited it.

A thousand years later, Equestria is predominantly under the control of Earth Ponies. Industry thrives and magic is considered a thing of fantasy; Big Macintosh always thought this himself. However, his life is soon to turn around, and he will find himself on an adventure like no other.
