It is a period of civil war. Rebel forces, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Solar Empire. During the battle, rebels managed to steal the Empire’s ultimate weapon, a hippogriff slave named Silverstream, intending to use the young creature as leverage against the diabolical ruler of the Empire, Empress Celestia. Pursued by the Empire’s sinister agents, General Hawk Nightwing races home with the liberated slave who could possibly give the rebels the information they need in order to save their ponies and restore freedom to Equestria….

Since Gallus moved back to Griffonstone after ending his career with the Royal Guard, he’s paved a decent life for himself. He’s been charged with spreading the message and lessons of friendship throughout the village, which usually amounts to beating the other griffons over the head with common sense. 

But one day, he snaps out of a haze. He realizes that griffons don't have as many problems with each other anymore, infrastructure is being built at an impossibly fast rate, and industry is flourishing on all sides.

And as good as that sounds, there's something malicious lurking behind this new age of prosperity.

Something bad is happening, and whatever it is, it’s affecting everyone else too. As Griffonstone grows, the other nations on the continent are getting worse, and it’s all connected.

Gallus, along with the rest of his old friends, are the only ones who can stop it, and considering that the last time they were all in the same place was three years ago, and it resulted in a bar fight and a lot of tears, none of them are in for a good time.

This story assumes that the epilogue at the end of the series takes place 10 years into the future.

Many of my chapters are edited by the wonderful Miller Minus and Jack of a Few Trades . I'm very grateful for them and I wouldn't be the same without them.

This story is a sequel to The Friendship School

An alternate sequel to "The Friendship School". Chancellor Neighsay has become angry that Twilight Sparkle is teaching the knowledge of friendship to Non-Pony creatures, and believes that it will lead to the destruction of Equestria. He is also upset that Celestia and a group of Non-Pony allies have backed Twilight and confronted him. He has been plotting revenge for a good while, and is ready to carry it out.

Warning: The following story you are about to read contains mentions of violence, death, the afterlife, F/M, M/M, sex (don't panic, all the characters that do so will be 18, consensual and mentioned breifly), talk of sex, suicide, and figuring what to do with eternity. If you are uncomfortable with one or many of these things, you know where the exit button is. 

Neither Gallus nor Sandbar expected to die so early, but at least it was dying while saving the world. With their lives over, all that they expected was a simple slip into darkness for eternity. Never did they imagine that what awaited them was paradise for their deeds and actions.

Of course, one doesn’t just accept or come to terms with their sudden death. Especially at such a young age. There are regrets, questions, and discoveries about oneself that come with the prospect of being welcomed into Heaven. Some of these experiences can be welcoming and others can be sorrowful moments in an otherwise bright and happy world.

Yet, perhaps the biggest experience is one that will see the two bond past the flames of friendship and into the waters of love. After all, everything is possible in the afterlife.

Equestria is not the only land of magical creatures.

As Twilight Sparkle and her friends have discovered, there are many other lands that also are inhabited by magical beings. There is Griffonstone, populated by the griffons; Yakyakistan, where the yaks live; the Changeling Kingdom, home of the changelings; the Dragonlands, inhabited by the dragons; Mount Aris and Seaquestria, the two homes of the hippogriffs. It's a new semester at the School of Friendship. Things take an interesting turn when some new students join the school. New students doesn't sound so bad, until everypony finds out that the new students have come from the Crown Tundra. The School of Friendship's students will be dealing with some new creatures who are a lot more different than the Young Six.
