Rainbow Dash has been traumatized by losing her wing. A wing to some Pegasi, might just be a misfortune, however for this rainbow cyan pony it's more of a symbol of a lost loved one that just died.

Having spent nearly a year in Celestia's court and by her side, the first and only human in Equestria is in rapidly deteriorating health. And despite all of her power, Celestia finds herself unable to help him.
(Written for the Most Dangerous Game contest, and in far less time than I would have liked. AU tag because for purposes of this story I'm ignoring the mirror world where Equestria Girls took place—this Equestria has no knowledge of humans in any way.)
Applejack has been thinking long and hard about Twilight. It's gotten to the point that she feels there could be something more to her thoughts. Eventually, she tries her luck and asks her out.
What she wasn't prepared for, however, was the whirlwind of events that would take place afterwards. Both for better and for worse.
While Europe sinks into bloody war and the powers of Nazi Germany dominate the continent, a new dark power begins to rise that could destroy them all.
The Nightmare is returning. And all will bow before her glorious night.

Nazis and alicorns and rockets, oh my.
There may be spoilers in the comments. You've been warned.
For their first home together, Twilight and Applejack wanted a house close to Applejack's farm and big enough for Twilight's books, with a little something special besides. They settled on the perfect place, one of the oldest barns on Sweet Apple Acres, and had it converted into a comfortable house for their little family. But when strange things start happening just after they move in, Twilight finds that she has a mystery to solve before she can really call her dream house "home."

Nightmare Moon rules Equestria. Celestia has been banished, and your friends have been locked away, but you were spared to become a lowly servant. For the past few weeks, you did your best to serve her dutifully, until, one sunless day, you are mysteriously invited to the throne room. Why is she calling you, of all people?
Nightmares.
We all have them.
Even Nightmare Moon herself has them.
But how does she handle her own name being used for something so vile? Something painful, pointless, and cruel. Which forces you to rise from rest in sobs and heart break.
And worse, who could ever love a nightmare?
My first posted story, one shot between human and Nightmare Moon. Kisses for all!!!
