This story is a sequel to Prelude to the Dawn

When Luster Dawn moved to Ponyville, she didn't expect to connect with an unlikely group of friends: excitable Kirin Half Moon, cool-calm-collected dragon Alex, shy griffon Gemma, rough-and-tumble changeling Stinger, bombastic yak Magnus, and reluctant pegasus Aurora. However, she doesn't have long to get used to her new situation before she and her friends are called far beyond the borders of Equestria to deal with a long-thought vanquished foe and discover a long-forgotten and dark chapter in Equestrian history...

Luster Dawn has made so many friends, she can remember almost every single one of them but when she saw a colt who’s all alone, she knew he needed some help. She talks to her teacher about him which made Twilight remember her past. It’s been a long time since she last met him and it surprises her it took this long until this day happened.

I've been here before, at least twice. The familiarity of this place makes me feel calm. Now I can gather my thoughts. But how do I answer this one question?

Have I done enough?

Just like her predecessor, Celestia, Twilight wants to teach the magic of friendship to unique unicorns. And maybe, one day, one of them will have all the required qualities to be an alicorn, and a princess. This story follows some of her most prominent students. Wether they were good in magic, had many friends, or were just close to the her.

Luster Dawn is a unicorn filly enrolled at Princess Twilight's School for Gifted Unicorns. After only a year, in which she displayed her exemplary use of magic and expertise at fostering friendships, it would come only as a surprise to her that Princess Twilight Sparkle would offer her the role of being her personal student. Whilst such a thing should have been an honour for the young filly, she can't help but let the stress of carrying such a title weigh heavy on her haunches.

Fortunately, her mother, who isn't the best when it comes to all things emotional, is there to lend her a hoof.

This story is a midquel to Passing On Together telling what happened between chapters 1 and 2. Was for a long time deleted and combined into one story after being edited. Luster Dawn New Days. Read whichever one you want but this is one of the two original stories brought back at the request of another user.

Luster Dawn, daughter of Starlight and Sunburst goes off on her own journey, from the school of magic and back to her hometown of Ponyville where she makes new friends and learns the greatest magic of all like her mentor before. But little does Luster know that an ancient evil is reemerging in Equestria, and it will be up to her to stop it.

Authors Notes: These stories use a theory I developed gathering info through the mlp wiki rather than the widely believed theory that immortality is the ability of alicorns.

If you believe immortality is a gift you are entitled to your opinion, but please be respectful. I'm trying to give people who don't want Twilight to suffer the curse of immortality an alternative. I would not read this if you are someone who firmly believes immortality is a gift.
