For most of Applejack's life, she didn't know what she was. True, she understood who she was well enough.
But ponies don't change shapes, nor do they get strength from love.
Applejack never thought too hard on it... until the events of a certain wedding brought about some harsh realizations.
Now, with Equestria still reeling from the surprise attack, will Applejack manage to come to terms with what she is? Will she even be able to keep her secret safe?
For if the royal guards don't get her first, the conspirators in the shadows just might...

Prince Blueblood dislikes being secret agent Double-O-Zeta, but since no pony does it better, the princesses won't let him quit. Trailing the mad unicorn Green Briar to Ponyville, though, Blueblood runs into Rainbow Dash, already investigating the odd new pony in the area. She resents this jerkwad of a prince suddenly butting in, and when circumstances force the two to work together, the unexpected feelings they arouse in each other might prove more dangerous than anything Green Briar has planned.

(This is a bit of an experiment based on the worldbuilding concepts presented in AnonAuthor's Xenophilia [[NSFW] - caveat lector!], which intrigued me enough to want to take a closer look. It's likely you'll be very confused by this unless you read at least some of Xenophilia. Updates will appear as and when an idea pops into my head for a thing to add. And fair warning, some of this might come across very dry and dusty. Thank you academia! Prince Blueblood is known as the first legitimate Crown Prince of Equestria, in a country that is experiencing its latest cultural and technological change. While he is known to many one of the most eligible bachelor in Equestria, many do not know he's also an owner of an up and coming company developing advanced technology.

After an annual show, Prince Blueblood and companion Gear Match are shot down and kidnapped by a mysterious group wanting him to help them build an advanced weapon of destruction Equestria's public has never seen before. Facing the possibility of being disposed once useless and the threat to his Country, Blueblood plans to build an elaborate suit of armor to help him and his companion escape captivity.

Unbeknownst to him, he took his first step in a larger world he had not known existed.

What if.

What if she had been born as nobility? As an equal? As somepony with a place in life?

Then maybe - just maybe - the rain would cease.

(An experimental piece set in Aegis Shield's "The Return of Princess Nightmare Moon". You don't have to read that to understand, but it'll make a great deal more sense.)

Twilight Sparkle has always admired Princess Celestia. Her fortitude, her wisdom, her eternal grace and love for all her subjects. Twilight has often fantasized about what it would be like to be in Princess Celestia's horseshoes. She never imagined those fantasies would come true.

Well, it can't be that hard to keep such a secret from everypony in Ponyville, can it?

Twilight Sparkle, becoming anxious at the upcoming Summer Sun Celebration, which she believes marks the return of Nightmare Moon, beseeches Princess Celestia to do something about it.

Celestia, however, has another, more important task for her; making sure that the Summer Sun Celebration goes off without a hitch. Every year, a different town is chosen to receive the honor of hosting the grand festival.

And the lucky city chosen this year, for this fateful holiday, is none other than the city of Manehattan...
