Nightmare Moon's return heralded a new age of darkness for Equestria. Celestia did not stand a chance, but contrary to most pony's expectations, a cold and thankless night was not their fate.
Nightmare Moon kept warmth, heat, and life, moving through the land, probably due to some fell magic. In this new landscape, ponies need to find new lives for themselves, and Chatelaine is one such pony.
Thrown from the castle, she becomes a delivery pony to make ends meet. This delivery goes out to a village in the middle of nowhere, where she finds darkness has taken on a new life, and the village is more dangerous than she imagined.

On a journey to a place seven hundred fifty million miles away, Twilight yearns for home.

Nightmare Moon visits Twilight in the night, and things get biblical.

Celestia discovers a lingering trace of Nightmare Moon's soul still lodged in Twilight's mind—a survivor of the lingering effects of the Element's magic.

Faced with the threat of gradually losing her friend to Nightmare Moon's evil influence, Celestia realizes the only way to save Twilight is to let the storm of dark magic take its course all at once.

And yet, as Nightmare Moon's corrupting magic tears away at Twilight's forgiveness and understanding, and Twilight begins dredging up unexpressed doubts once kept controlled, Celestia must face a lifetime of confrontation her student has kept covered.

It is going to be a long night for both alicorns.

She, and the guards who accompany her, must face the dark, twisting corridors. Still, what was Luna and Twilight's purpose at the old castle? Why were they unable to return of their own accord?

Twilight Sparkle is returning to the Crystal Empire for the one-year anniversary of Sombra's defeat. The whole kingdom is preparing to celebrate.

But four crystal ponies are preparing a different celebration. The pieces are moving, and their plot is almost complete – Lord Sombra's last, most faithful servants will have their revenge. Twilight Sparkle and all her filthy kin will die.

Now, in the final hours of their plan, something has gone terribly wrong. One of the four is a traitor. Everything is in jeopardy. And once again, the fate of an empire will be decided at the Gate of Heavenly Peace.

Megan Williams has been to Equestria before. Twenty years prior, she made friends, fought enemies and lived happily. Two decades later, she waits for any sign that she can see her friends again.

When children start to go missing after making "wishes" to visit a magical place, Megan starts to investigate until she realizes the threat is closer to home than she expected. Her barn is holding an entrance, but to where, she has yet to find out. She won't go unprepared though...

Gore Warning: Megan fights back and fights viciously.
