Starlight has a conversation with Pharynx about the significance of a changeling’s true form. In the process, she might just learn a thing or two about herself as well.

On the way back from Fluttershy's house, Starlight takes notice of a young filly under a tree and soon discovers that she is without any known parents. Starlight wants to take care of the poor orphan, but is uncertain if she has the qualities that it takes to be a 'mother'.

After a long hard day of friendship lessons Twilight settles down with Spike to look through her old photo album. Starlight's reaction to one of the photos brings a shocking secret to light. Starlight is a mother, and she does not know to whom.

Twilight and her friends now want to help Starlight find her long lost foal, while trying to puzzle out just how a mother could not know her own foal. Starlight meanwhile is trying to decide whether to bury the past, or drag it all up once again. Both will be painful, but the question remains. Which one would hurt the least, for all involved?

Several truths are revealed, and motivations are uncovered. When everything is laid bare how will everyone react? Will Starlight's life be turned upside down, even in this time of change for the former villain?

Something Maud said has been rattling around in Starlight's head for weeks. As Starlight thinks it over, she comes up with an invention that could change the face of Equestria.

What happens when a pony doesn't actually like the cutie mark that they receive? Perhaps one more embarrassing than most?

Well, that's when Starlight Glimmer's special talents come into play.

Quite a bit happened as Chrysalis's defeat approached and everypony finally escaped the reformed changeling hive to celebrate at the Sunset Festival in Starlight's old village. After all, when many characters who don't usually meet end up paired together, there are bound to be some interesting interactions--new friendships can be realized, old friendships can grow stronger, creatures can learn about each other, and fresh views can be shared. The point is togetherness and finding comfort in the fact that in Equestria you never have to be alone.

...Unless you choose to be.

The end of Chrysalis's evil reign brings peace to all but careful contemplation to one as Starlight Glimmer and her friends have a well-earned celebration of the magic of friendship.

Realizing the position they're in, the changelings decide on a different plan than the one their queen's giving.

Author's idearz: Some credit goes to this person. They did a thing and I decided to do another thing they did by basing it on the thing with this thing while they did their thing...

Twilight Sparkle, pulling another late night, is finally confronted about by Spike and Starlight Glimmer. She reveals that she's been studying one of the realities she saw, specifically the one seemingly ruled by Flim and Flam. She just can't figure out how those two con artists could be as much of a threat as, say, Tirek or Nightmare Moon.

And then Discord shows up, telling her that she's looking at her information wrong. He volunteers to show Twilight, Spike, and Starlight what that reality is really like...

How far will a disgraced unicorn go in order to get back at her enemies?

This was a question posed to Starlight immediately after being run out of the town she once called home. Now abandoned, she must lick her wounds, re-establish herself in a new city, and prepare a plan.

A plan that will put her in direct conflict with the Equestrian monarchy and six of the kingdom's greatest heroes.

Her goal is simple. She just wants to get revenge against Princess Twilight Sparkle.

This is my take on what happened to Starlight Glimmer over the course of season 5, between the premiere and finale.

It was inspired by the few cameos appearances she had over the course of the season.
