"Show my head to the people, it is worth seeing." - Georges Danton

E

How far will a disgraced unicorn go in order to get back at her enemies?

This was a question posed to Starlight immediately after being run out of the town she once called home. Now abandoned, she must lick her wounds, re-establish herself in a new city, and prepare a plan.

A plan that will put her in direct conflict with the Equestrian monarchy and six of the kingdom's greatest heroes.

Her goal is simple. She just wants to get revenge against Princess Twilight Sparkle.

This is my take on what happened to Starlight Glimmer over the course of season 5, between the premiere and finale.

It was inspired by the few cameos appearances she had over the course of the season.

That's fantastic, thank you for continuing to read it.

I really did enjoy this. It fills in the blanks of Starlight's journey in a very compelling way.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate you saying that. You have no idea. :raritywink:

Wow, this "following Starlight's decisions" stuff is really immersive!

Back in the small town where she boarded the train the pony running the train station had attempted to ask her for a fare.

Guess, that's an answer for my "where did she get bits for ticket" question :rainbowlaugh:

though Starlight was use to that.

was used?

I think this is one of the last stories I have of yours on my read it later. It's a really neat idea. I can't think of any non-comedy stories that tackled the concept of Starlight's pissy commie horse journey that she clearly had to have between the opener and the finale.

I like the little details that drive home Starlight's alienation from pony society, like her not having used bits in so long. Your opening description of Canterlot itself was also very nice. Also, is Canterlot University just some other place to go to school in the city, or is it meant to be related to Celestia's school?

It makes a lot of sense for Starlight to have a sort-of base of operations in a library. Having access to resources for magical knowledge and a way to stalk Twilight makes for a good choice.

Luna was quite the highlight of this chapter! Also, those archives are way too easy to break into. Sheesh.

No, in a few days, everything would change. History was written by the victors and soon enough, that would be her.

Oh commie horse, you have no idea what awaits you. I really like how you captured her perspective here.

This was fun stuff. The highlight of it was how authentic Starlight's journey felt and the internal voice she had.
