It hasn't been long since Twilight and Spike moved into town. Spike doesn't feel close to the girls, and because of this, writes each of them a letter—hoping to invite them to his party.

Madness. Madness has overtaken Twilight Sparkle. The world ends when her spell is complete. Twilight has to die—and Spike has to kill her. But he can't. He loves her. So back in time he goes, learning to hate so he may complete the deed.

Spike is her number-one assistant and that will never change. Even in her becoming a greater princess he has not failed in that role.
