The Akatsuki have made it to Equestria! The ponies feel it is their duty to stop them at all costs. The Akatsuki, feeling provoked, start an all-out war against them. Can the ponies defend their homeland against these new invaders? (There are many more Akatsuki than those mentioned in the manga and the anime. I will address a select few of them here.)
*Author's Note* The Akatsuki are in the Part 1 time period of Naruto, also known as Naruto's Boyhood Part. This means several Akatsuki are alive, that were never shown, that died during this period. We are about 3/4 of the way through Part 1 at this point, so some characters, like Zabuza and Haku, are already dead.

2498364 Believe me when I say I don't spoil anything, I hate it when people do it to me, so I won't do it to other people. But I write my stories like George R.R. Martin does, which, if you haven't read anything by him yet, means several people will die. In the first 100 pages of one of his books, he killed 94 characters that had names, character development, etc. Which means in turn for my story that none of my characters have any plot armor. Which in turn means again that ANYONE can die. So I wonder what you mean by "Protect the Darkness?" Are you talking about Princess Luna?

I got a message from an account this morning. The account was using an anonymizer. I looked up the series of numbers to see if it was an account, but it wasn't; hence an anonymizer. The user had told me that quote: "Killing Cadence is bullshit! She's a fucking Princess! She's immortal; that means she can't die, dumbass!" End quote. I just want everyone to know a few things. 1st, Cadence is my favorite Princess; so there's no favoritism involved in letting her die. 2nd, there was never a mention of these Princesses being immortal. They are quite mortal, but just live much longer than standard ponies. 3rd, if you are reading this anonymous user who sent me said message, I just want you to know that I do not indeed love or hate you. In fact, since you anonymized yourself, I have no idea who you are; and it is quite foolish to hate or love something that isn't there.

Um, you should probably know something. Mirth means happiness. So for Braeburn to be filled with mirth (happiness) after seeing half the townsfolk die... yeah, I can't really see that happening.
2813683 Hahaha! You're absolutely right! In modern english, it does mean happiness. In old english it means hate, or anger. So I probably should use something a little more modern....
A few things I should point out.
1) The Akatsuki is composed of nine members with Sasori dead and Orochimaru defected. I highly doubt they have other teams, but it's acceptable to an extent.
2) No one in the Akatsuki except Konan knows Pain is Nagato. This information is not even given to the main members so the likelihood of it being known to a lesser member is absurd.
3) This is a first person perspective so show the correct extent of his knowledge. He would never know Tobi is Obito and so it wouldn't come up in his narration.
4) The Akatsuki members are suppose to be very strong. One team of them would be more than capable of dealing with the Daimyo of the Land of Tea and his guards. It's not even a ninja village so no reason to send the entire Akatsuki for two relatively unimportant lesser members.
I could go on but I think I'll stop here.
3555930 OK, let me point out a couple of things you said that are wrong.
1. I already said this is Part 1 of Naruto, and it is known that at this time, there were more than 9 members of the Akatsuki, it's rumored to be over 100.
2. This is a fiction, and I can make anything happen. In this fiction, Nagato was more trusting of his fellow Akatsuki members; and so he was willing to give up his identity.
3. Same thing as above. Obito was more willing to give up his identity because he trusted his comrades more. This story is written from the perspective of the Akatsuki being the protagonists, so they need to work together and trust each other for the sake of the story.
4. The 9 shown Akatsuki are supposed to be strong, whether or not the other members are supposed to be strong is not known, so I showed them as being not strong enough to take down the daimyo without assistance.
5. It's a fiction, if I want to call the AK-47 a Steyr, I can, and you can just sit there and deal with it. If you don't like my portrayal of the Akatsuki, then don't read the story. I don't need to hear your criticism about a story no one else had a problem with.
