...did I miss the part explaining how Sombra was involved in this whole mess? At this point, I'm going into the sequel thinking that the Changelings were kicked out of the Chrystel (that doesn't look right... Did spell check give me a proper name instead?) Empire, because Prince Sombra died from causes unknown and they got the blame. ...and then Sombra's demonic ghost rose from his grave and enslaved everypony.

Seriously, did I skim over a vital bit of dialog, or am I overthinking an otherwise throwaway line?

2623253 That event happened in an unnamed village. And Sombra wasn't the one that died. They mention "she's dead." So probably Sombra's wife or somepony else special to him. And just because he used to live there, doesn't mean he always did. People move around in life. Ponies too ;)
So I always envisioned that he used to live elsewhere and that the Crystal Empire wasn't his original home.
