Not sure people are down-voting this at the same rate as up-voting (at time of writing this 2 up 2 down) the characters are good, the story is engaging and enjoyable, and the only problem I see with it is just some spacing issues around quotation marks and punctuation.

I like this; it's cute and light and pretty well done. It could use some refinement (as could most for that matter) and there are some strange grammar incidences and word choices but fix those small things up and you'll really have something. Keep it up!
