SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

While still adjusting to life at the Crystal Brighthouse with her new friends, Misty accidentally makes a very interesting discovery in an old broom closet. It's Senor Butterscotch, a fake unicorn that Izzy made long ago.

Naturally, Misty's curiosity gets the better of her, especially since she has her own fake friend. She decides to ask her fellow unicorn why she made Senor Butterscotch.

Izzy is more than happy to tell the tale of how Senor Butterscotch came to be. But it's a lot sadder than Misty might be expecting.

All I can say is that you did a great job on the exchanges, characterizations and general wrap-up of this appropriately emotional one-shot. Definitely liked this spin on Izzy's first meeting with Alphabittle and recall of her early days in Bridlewood.

And, yeah, it IS odd that, of this generation's main characters, Zipp and Pipp are the only two that have a still-living biological parent present day. Kind of an intriguing (if emotional) inversion of G4 where Applejack was the only orphan in the main group.

And a little something I just recalled for a side story for the Super Dragon/Batmare team-up next year if you do it - 2024 would ALSO be the 60th anniversary of the Teen Titans, so a side-story featuring Batmare's version of Spike with his Teen Titans teammates in their own adventure might be pretty interesting.

And 2025 would be a good year to do a "Justice League of the Multiverse" story, given that 2025 would contain the 85th anniversaries of the first appearances of the original Flash and Green Lantern (Flash and Green Lantern being longtime Justice League mainstays), the 70th anniversary of the Martian Manhunter's first appearance (Martian Manhunter being a Justice League founder in several adaptations of the group), the 65th anniversary of the Justice League itself AND the 40th anniversary of the start of the comic book version of "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

Hopefully we'll get more of Izzy's backstory in the series. Also note that it's implied that Zipp and Pipp's father is dead.

This is a nice story and I wonder how much time passed between making Señor Butterscotch and receiving Sunny's message.

Izzy swished her tail, indifferent to her glitter and glue covered coat, or the bits of paint splotched on her mane. "Come on, Misty! So it's a little messy? So what? Life's messy too. Besides, look how much fun we're having."

Life's messy yeah that sounds about right

The unicorn with beautiful blue bangs could only giggle like a school filly. "It's not a thing, Misty. It's Senor Butterscotch: My oldest and dearest friend! He was my friend long before I ever met Sunny, or Hitch, or any of my other friends really," In a slightly more somber tone she added. "In fact, for the longest time, he was my only friend."

Aww man that is very sad

Izzy nodded quite slowly as she pulled Senor Butterscotch close. "Something like that. So what if he's made out of wood? He's real to me, and that's all that matters," She sweetly said to him. "Oh, how I've missed you, buddy. I haven't seen you since I was briefly showing you off the first time we flew in The Marestream." And she happily held her creation in her hooves, not caring the least for his worn appearance (to say nothing of the good coat of dust he'd accumulated from his time in the broom closet). It was like she was reliving a memory long since passed.

Kind of reminds me of Johnny from Ed Edd n Eddy with his imaginary friend plank

The blank flanked filly whimpered anew with tears in her eyes. "My name's Izzy Moonbow. I... I don't know if I have parents. I can't remember!"

That is a very good question does she even have any parents they don't quite explain that nor did Hitch in the show or the movie but man that sad 😢

Kind of funny how Zipp and Pipp are now the only members of the main cast who we know for sure aren't orphans.

Yeah that is kind of weird I wonder what happened to the rest of their families

I got to say this was a pretty sweet story how Izzy told Misty about her childhood years despite it wasn't so not good but the day that she met senior butterscotch and also the day that Alphabittle took her in while she had literally nothing I got to say this was a pretty nice story and I like it keep up the good work
