I'll admit I was a little surprised at first to see Pipp comforting Zipp rather than the other way around, but I think it worked in the end. Now that I think about, talking about Zipp's insecurities for a change does help this story stand out a bit more.
And I completely agree with what you said about how we need more G5 fics (and Zipp being best pone). Based on this one, I'd look forward to what you'd write next.

This was a fun story to read. The pacing could use a little work, but I definitely enjoy diving into a vulnerable Zipp and having Pipp be there for her. Pipp and Zipp (in my opinion) have the best sister dynamic in MLP because they're not only close in age but have different personalities which produces some great stories. Great job on this one, looking forward to what you do next!

The conflict is Zipp vs. her self-perception - an internal conflict. It might make for a more compelling story to pair that with an external conflict by giving Zipp a problem to solve or a challenge to overcome, and letting her succeed (or fail) to overcome them together.
