I did it for multiple reasons. Warning, spoilers.
1. For the Otome game style Villainess dynamic I have for later
2. For the lulz
3. For a romance triangle I wanna have
4. I wanted to gain more experience writing female mcs
5. For some funny moments I wanna try writing involving other female characters
6. There are far to many male mc's, and I want to do some unique things that's different than the norm. Make my story a bit more unique you know?
7. This is a reimagining of my previous gamer story, of which had the same male mc turned female. I decided that I wanted to keep that so as to not overwhelm the readers from that story with to many changes.
8. I honestly feel like I can write better by including strange circumstances like these, I'm trying to force out as much creativity as I can, so as to make a better product.
9. I think that a female perspective will allow the mc to have a more natural connection to the other female characters and understanding their problems better
So there's my 9 reasons why. Also, why did you dislike the whole story based on that one complaint if you liked everything else? I'm sorry but that makes zero sense to me.

You know, you can use Mircosoft Excel as a random number generator. All you need to do is in one of the cells type in, =randbetween, and in the parenthesis type in the bottom of the number range followed by a comma and the top number of the range. Example: =randbetween(1,10). This will generate a random number from 1 to 10.

The reason I changed it so much is because the way I wrote the original made it far to easy to make the mc overpowered, something I've had a problem with in almost all of my stories, mlp or not. This was also a way for me to put my own spin on this type of story, by making the gamer mechanics work in a way that I find both fun to read and fun to write, as well as promote better story telling that makes more sense.
Also my favorite rpg series is Shin Megami Tensei (persona is a spin off of it), so I decided to take some cool mechanics from that series and put it in here.
