I wouldn't call this raceplay to be honest. Whilst it does have airs of zebra supremacy from the cover, I do not need to remind of the age-old rule of not judging it because of such. After reading, there was no declarations from Rumble of any kind of 'superiority' from the zebras or such. In this, striping oneself an ultimate act of submissiveness it would seem, they also just seem to be his preference rather than due to musings of inferiority. The bar also has both ponies and zebras and they both cheered the striping ceremony on, and that combined with the fact Big Mac - a pony - is still larger in size than any other zebra he has met, this isn't a universe where ponies are inherently inferior to zebras and the like. Hell, there was even a femboy zebra, it's not a thing that goes just one-way. Rumble is just a colossal faggot who pursues zebras because he lost his V-card to one, (much like I and lithe bois
) if I had to analyze the mentality of this colt - him being a minor is something I won't touch because if this was applied IRL he is so fucked, and not just literally!

Do you think I like zebra supremacy? I loathe it in fact. I even wrote a story with the express purpose of a zebra getting dominated to 'fight the good fight' as it were. I criticized your comment because you clearly hadn't read the story, or you at least only skimmed through it. And, some definitive proof that this fic isn't zebra supremacy, or wasn't written with that intent is comments from the author himself on the following story.

There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but one trend you'll see with fics featuring zebras is that they are utilized for one thing and one thing only: to dominate. Such a thing comes with multiple adages, I.E. they're naturally larger than any stallion, they may possess a potent odor that sends a mare into heat, or they may even make a mare abandon all their inhibitions just to fuck. You will rarely see a fic featuring a male zebra in a situation that isn't zebra supremacy, it's so uncommon in fact, there is no group whatsoever for the sole purpose of having 'zebras' in the story, and the one group that is just for 'zebras' is mostly dominated by Zecora clopfics and zebra domination fics taking up the majority of the 'zebra ocs' folder. I'm not a fan of it for three reasons:
1. It has saturated any and all content with zebras. It has almost become a unwritten rule. "If it has a male zebra, he needs to fuck and he needs to fuck good, better than anyone else."
2. It's basically a more accepted variant of Fall of Equestria.
3. It has uncomfortable connotations with IRL black supremacist fetish, a fetish whose whole intent is to 'breed out whiteness' and 'steal all the white women' or 'offer up all our women to our black masters' etcetera. Which, if you go look at the other zebra supremacist fics, contain some variant of the above.
And fuck it, just for the sake of it, I'll add a forth: Little to no gay fics. There's few actual fictions of male zebras in non-straight content. There was one by the V-claw, one by me and three by SomeLeech.
The person I was talking too was a tad more zealous in his hatred. I just dislike it like I would other fetishes.

Because as an author you shouldn't limit yourself, which I know, seems like a shitty excuse, but I know a few artists personally who are straight but still do gay content because it gets views and because people like it. Same goes for authors. I personally hate cock vore, rape. Still wrote a fic about both those things because someone asked me too, and bloody hell, were they popular. It also lets me try out a bunch of 'firsts'. This fic probably had a bunch of 'firsts' for the author that he wanted to experiment with or try out, probably having fun in the process. However if I had to look from a story standpoint, this is Rumble's natural progression. He has gotten steadily more and more depraved and has expanded his boundaries as to what he is willing to do for a good dicking. I don't know if the author will evolve the fic into full on zebra-supremacy, where Rumble is swearing off all cocks unless they belong to a zebra but that's ultimately up to him and if he decides that's the natural course for Rumble to go down. But considering he was fawning over Big Mac in the last fic and his dick, I doubt it.

I have seen some complaints about zebra domination in this story, but I'm just not seeing it. I would think that the person "dominating" is the one who is in charge and guiding all the actions of his or her partner. Here, Rumble is using verbal and nonverbal cues in particular moments to tell his partner what to do and to get the reaction he desires from his partner, while appearing to be submissive. The zebra, on the other hand, is simply following what he says. Not sure if there's a term for this or if I have even interpreted this correctly, but everything seems to point to Rumble being the dominant party here.
Interested to see where things go from here.
