Man, that was really good. Like really really good. I feel it would have worked better as a Memorial Day story, but damn that was good.

Memorial days tomarrow. It stil works.

Beautiful. A magnificent ode to veterans and what they fought for. What stuck out to me especially was the nature of the Forgiveness statue. Truly they were honorable warriors to bring about such a righteous end to the war. Reading this, I can't help but wish that the Allies had been so gracious at the end of the First World War; we might not have had a Second. Yours is an excellent story, to convey so much in such a brief time, and to give such a moving picture of the simple heroism of this generation of warriors.

Unfortunately, it only could have happened in a fairytale.
Both World Wars weren't caused by one "totally evil" King/Queen, and killing one wouldn't make everybody friends. Nor there was any noble cause there. The wars were to gain more resources, more riches, more colonies. The losing side would get no mercy and no forgiveness, but reparation claims at best and camps at worst.

great story to help those who were lost to be remembered. thank you.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
We will remember them.
