CAD Fact - s02e01 (The Origins of Amethyst Star)
For those who don't know, Amethyst Star is in fact not an OC (or, at least, not a completely original one). Here she is angrily opening a jar of peanut butter in the show, and here she is... looking at something in the distance? I don't really know about that second one, but in the episode Slice of Life (the 100th episode of MLP), a short conversation between Matilda (Cranky Doodle's soon-to-be wife) and a certain unicorn went like this:
Not too long after Slice of Life aired, I was writing Cadance and the Art of Diplomacy and wanted a character to be Cadance/Shining's assistant. I wanted a character from the show that made sense in that role, but I didn't want one who had already been fleshed out in either the show or the overall MLP fandom. So, I figured Slice of Life (being a background-pony episode) would be as good a place as any to start and, lo and behold, Amethyst Star popped onto the screen. And that is how Amethyst Star, greatest assistant in all of Equestria, was born.

Aaaah, that's what I needed, your stories are one of the finest clop I've read, hitting all the right stuff. Plus, even disregarding the clop, you write all the characters really good.
