Strictly as a matter of personal note, I have never heard anyone say that they will think thrice about something. Also, it is a blatant contradiction for a pony to do anything "predatory" as ponies are herbivores. Furthermore, Celestia is Goddess in Equestria. I really shouldn't have to say more than that, but let me point it out Celestia is not the abstract concept of religion where a person has been told that a god they should believe in has said to do or not do something where a person might feel guilty about doing that something but think "oh well, it doesn't really matter no one is really going to stop me" - No, to ponies Princess Celestia is a walking, talking, living, breathing, avatar of absolute power whose very body extends beyond the physical and she proves this everyday by moving the heavenly bodies at will, so I am hard pressed to believe that a pony who has met her or even a pony who eats bowls of stupid for breakfast would wake up one day and think to themselves, "Gee, I really want an ass whooping from god herself."

I mean, this is preachy nonsense, and it's too facile to take seriously. But this takes me way back to when this exact message was a common sight on Fimfiction. It's almost refreshing, especially compared to the more recent cascade of "what if Celestia was interdimensional Hitler BUT IN MY FAVORITE VIDEO GAME."

7760144 Clearly you don't watch the show if you think Equestrian's technology is insignificant. Yes they lack some tech we consider vital, but do they really lack important tech? Most tech they lack has a magical subsitue, why would they develop technology they don't need? They aren't as violent as us so weapons tech wouldn't be something they developed as extensively. Also I think the whole "Immortal Leader" thing would have an effect, wanting to keep them away from dangerous tech.
Now yes the idea ponies would be smugly superior is laughable, I don't like most of the "ponies are villains" conversion Burea stuff cause it feels too off. I don't think this story is offensive just not good and the author has some silly ideas about sapience.
7760891 I do watch the show, I've seen barely any modern technologies in large quantities. I've stopped watching the show before Season 6.
7760891 As Significant technology, I'm meaning the Automobile, Spacecraft, Rocketry. I have yet to see any major progress in modern weapons development. Due to the Peaceful nature of the Ponies/Equines.
Ponies have scitzo-tech. Steam trains, dirigibles, computers, video games, film, appliances, and electric lights. No cars, why would they have them? Earth pony pulled carriages more that fill the need and provide employment. Why developed cars? And so many technologies are the result of war, a peaceful race wouldn't have nuclear bomb so no nuclear reactors. Medical magic would replace much medical tech. Ponies have early 20ith century tech and some middle and late century tech too, in some ways they are more advanced that we were at that level of cultural development.
