John shows Shining just who is the bigger Queen of the Theatre?
love it great ending
I feel so much pride with that little victory song :) Brits FTW
I'll give it to Shinning, that was a smart little move he pulled with the pistol, too bad it didn't work... fucking rupert.
So awesom i can't wait for more you are a modern times William Shakespeare
so shining do you like your crow with salt or do you prefer it plan???
I wonder how the Element Bearer, Celestia and the Ponies of Equestria in general will react after the clear defeat of their Sun Princess' "most prized and admired" Sun Guard.
Celestia always thought higher from her own captain than Luna's, no matter how much John actually did for Equestria. She even thinks it's not necessary to inform him about important matters of state at all (Like that Tirek escaped and only Shining Armor was informed).
Seriously, it feels a little like Celestia tries to sabotage John's path to recognition and fame in the rows of the Ponies (and international level, see Gryphons. Maybe others will be most impressed with him, too, And in progress Luna) whenever she can, just because she can't allow someone "unharmonic" like John to regain more honor for the military in her "era of peace and harmony"? Because his behaviour doesn't exactly represent her praised "Magic of Friendship"? I don't know. Furthermore he is ready to do the deed - be violent to his enemies should the need arise - without a second thought what she absolutely dislikes, too.
She and her captain act both childish in my eyes, they could participate in a contest for the prize: "Who dislikes (maybe secretly even hates, who knows. Shining gets saltier and saltier I get the impression, because John shows him what a true soldier is on multiple occasions) John the most".
But that are all just guesses from my side. That was a truly enjoyable chapter and I can't wait to see what happens next and what you have planned after this War Game.
this is such fantabulidociuos (i don't know what it means either :p) a story. if this story could talk it would probably say
just had a hilarious new chapter name and theme for this its called "Under the covers of night" and its a clop of luna and john
It wasn't that John was fighting wars for honor or glory, or any of that nonsense, he was doing what needed to be done because he knew if the militarists won in the Gryphon Empire, their next step would be to try to attack, and conquer Equestria, so he was doing it in defense of Equestria and its inhabitants. Princess Celestia should have seen that and not treated him like he's some unthinking unfeeling beast who just kills for the sake of killing, and gets off on it, because she knows he's not.
As for the favoritism towards Shining Armor, it's ridiculous. He's an arrogant jerk, and he needs to be brought down a peg, or three, even if he is right about technology having its place, and it's usefulness, just like John was right about magic having it's place, and usefulness. Unicorn, and Alicorns are no different than those who would use Earth technology in Equestria, because eventually magic will sputter out and fail, in the same way technology will eventually fail.
I'd kick S.A. in the balls if he even had any, but according to Equestrian tradition, the groom's nuts are cut off on his wedding day prior to the ceremony by the mother of the bride, and presented to her daughter as a wedding gift, so that the now gelding groom never forgets who's REALLY in charge in the marriage. I'll give you a hint: The groom's mother-in-law!
Well! Shining sure got his ass handed to him!
I'll give him credit though, that pistol trick was really smart and would've quickly turned the Ranger's victory to an abrupt and embarrassing defeat!
But I have to say, Shining Armor and his forces learned a lot about the disadvantages of technicolored fur and armor in nighttime combat!
is that shinning's pride i see?
Bobby made me awesome
Anyone else reminded of when Santa Anna was caught during a Siesta?
