Something about Chaser really botheres me. Its like he is either a spy thats so incompetant he keeps getting caught, or so good at his job that his incompetance is a distraction. Or he is just a total idiot that doesnt realise his behaviour is just asking for him to be taken out back and talked to.
The suprising thing about the DDay landings, were that the greater number of combatants wernt even injured, never mind killed?
Generally, every soldier assumes its going to happen to the other guy, which lets them keep advancing?
DDay my grandfather was their the days after the battle. he did not go in the first day but he was on clean up after it was for the most part over.
he never talked about it at all I found out after he was gone threw family.
Don't worry Georg, we don't need to develop one of the best rifles ever made, but we can develop an even better weapon, an M240B.
One of the better movie d days
that hurts your Teeth so much belive Me i tride not again.
Cant wait to see everyone's reaction to the human wars, especially ww2 and ww1. I wonder if from learning from theses war will make anyone question the morality of humanity.
7991714 It was one of the best to show the horror of the landings, but not that accurate a film (and the accuracy goes out the window after the beach)
If you want the best, watch the LONGEST DAY
there is a colour version avaliable
7991694 The Le-Enfield .303 ( SMILE ) was the best rifle ;)
7991714 Then you need to watch "The Longest Day"
Huh? Didn't receive notification of this chapter... Well it happens to everyone at some point right?
It's hard to imagine that my own father was one of the sailors driving those boats to the shore and unloading the crew, all the while hoping that his boat wasn't the next one to get shelled. When I saw Saving Private Ryan in theaters, it really hit home just how crazy that would have been.
I wholeheartedly agree.

The AK-47 is the best rifle in the world. It's perfectly balanced, and can be used in nearly any envirement and situation. You can drop it in water for days, and still pick it up and use it 100% fine.

It could definitely do with improvements, move the rear sights to be behind the action and chamber it in 7.62 NATO instead of 7.62x39 (I don't know if it'd need modifying to do this.) with the gun sights further apart, errors in aiming won't be as compounded as they would be with the sights close together, and 7.62 NATO tends to be much more stable at longer distances. Making the changes to do this would make it more percise and increase its effective range.
SPR to the max!

The AK-2016 and RPK-2016 both have rail mounted rear sights that are generally placed near the back of the dust cover rather than over the barrel. Makes it a bit easier to acquire targets without the need for a mounted red dot/holo sight as well as making you less prone to alignment issues when in motion.
Chambering it in .308Win is a not a good idea, there are IRL AK-100 variants that are chambered in said cartridge but they are export models for enthusiasts and hunters. The 7.62x39 cartridge provides a big kick and doesn't penetrate very well in comparison to the 5.45x39 cartridge. If you're already making .223Rem or its military variant the 5.56mm then use those, they penetrate much better, have a higher muzzle velocity and cause a lot more soft tissue damage. They also weigh a fair bit less. Additionally, using such a large cartridge would require the firearm to be slightly larger and heavier. The AK is already fairly heavy as it is, and is a full length assault rifle rather than a carbine like the AR-15 is.
That said, bringing an AK design to Equestria would be smart, it's very easy to mass produce once you have the design down, and it is functionally simple in comparison to other rifles, easy to repair and maintain and it can be very heavily modified if need be.
Sorry to be this guy, but I got annoyed when you said the garand had a clip. It's a ENBLOC, little bit more expensive then a clip for a much better product and for much less then a magazine

You're half right, it is referred to as an en bloc Clip, not just an ENBLOC.
Didn’t expect them to get off the beach, props to them though, made it all the way to the bunkers before getting oofed
