This is geting good *grabs popcorn*
For everyone who is not English, the building has three floors. English people refer to the second story as the first.
7804443 you got more popcorn?

7805548 You sir shall be my English to American translator
your german made me cringe
7807208 what was luna and he saying to each other? and what was he saying to the diamond dog?
7878100 Luna joins alongside me and whispers into my ear, "Du scheinst ein Mann von vielen Talenten zu sein."
Chuckling I pat the side of her cheek playfully, "Lernen Sie mich kennen, ich bin erstaunlich."
Luna swats my hand away, "Soll ich dich an einen anderen Tisch werfen?"
"Nein Danke."
------------------------------------------
"Denkst du, ich bin dumm?" He just looks to me in a state of confusion and fear, his body shaking slightly as I tighten my grip, "Wenn Sie der Anführer wären, würden Sie verstehen, was ich sage,"
Ive been reading this for awhile now, the first part of this guy's tale ive find it kinda cringe-y but i managed through all of it. Im really planning to publish a story of my own... i need help. I like it have a moustache

I have been writing my own story as well, this was one of the stories that got me to start writing.
If you're basing the Griffons off of Germans it would have made more sense for them to call Griffonia the Fatherland instead. Motherland is Russian. (Might be wrong. Ich spreche nicht gut Deutsch.)

Pretty good German for someone who presumably doesn't speak the language. Still a few mistakes here and there though, especially with grammar.
The correct grammatical form is "Du scheinst"
Technically correct, but "Soll ich dich wieder gegen einen Tisch werfen?" would be more fitting for the intended meaning. As it is, the sentence means "Should I throw you at a different table?"
"Denkst du" would be more fitting for the given context and the proper word for "leader" is "Anführer", "Führer" was a title rather than an actual word. Furthermore, you once again forgot to correctly conjugate a verb. In a conditional sentence the correct form would be "wären". Ironically you get it right in the next part of said sentence.

I learnt a little German a very long time ago from a friend, clearly very rusty at it XD
Thanks for the corrections, I shall change them after work

You know what grinds my gears? English authors who pick on us Americans. I get it. Our countries like to poke fun at each other, but it's getting really annoying. If I see something that I can't disagree with, I laugh, but if it's a general overall stereotype, like what you said about Rarity when she was wearing the overalls. News flash, ya tea guzzlin' jackass, not all Americans dress like that. I'm a farmer and I have never wore overalls to work in during the summer. It's a white tee-shirt and blue jeans for this guy. In the winter I will wear insulated coveralls because I refuse to wear long johns under my pants. And I would love to meet the person who coined the word "'Murica" so I could punch them right in the teeth so they would have a reason to say it like that.

Thinking about it, I have to say that I agree with you, good sir. On top of the fact that they use German, griffons seem more like the type to refer to their country in a masculine form.

You know steryotypes exist for a reason right? Because people dress or act like the Steryotype suggests. Just because YOU don't act or dress like it. Does not mean most people don't.
He served an entire campaign in Griffonia, met griffons, was given a mission by griffons, fought griffons, was part of a griffon conspiracy, was in rooms with griffons talking to each other, stayed overnight with a griffon and on and on an on...and yet never once heard any griffon speak their native tongue?
I had to pull out a translator to understand but you just peaked my interest further

It was mentioned that it's an old tongue, not commonly used anymore. It seems English is the primary language of the entire world, very few species don't speak it, I'd say, unlike for humans.
