Training Instructor (after reading confirmed reports of the capabilities of these particular "horses"): "I am so proud!"
Pinkie, you aren't his training instructor.
Yes I am!
Ha pretty good so far.
Some minor punctuation errors, but still decent.
Twice I've giggled thanks to those final two lines. I can't wait to read more!
Sorry but I would not have complied with Twilight. My response would have been something along the lines of, "Let's see, I saved your ass then your 'friends' attacked and nearly killed me for no fucking reason? How about a big round of 'hell no' and a bigger round of 'fuck you'."
8166176 these videos will educate you on what just happened. Just apply it to ponies.

Dude please the laughter it hurts I haven't laughed this hard since reading wolf among ponies when he called blueblood blue balls
8166176 Yes, and if it was an American soldier probably a round in her head to go along with it.

It's funny, but that much force could kill you. With ease.

Not sure if thats unxreasonable patriotism showing though or just you being an idiot, any soldier with a gun and not enough discipline could do that, it doesnt make them “badass”, only bad in situations
Who would win?
A soldier who has two guns and kelvar armor.
6 colorful looking ponies.

To be fair, they did surprise the shit out of him. You know, talking pastel colored horses that are apparently from mythology attacking him out of nowhere, with no warning.

I mean, these colorful ponies have been shown as capable of impacting the ground with force equivalent to demolition explosives, so...

M8 the character was in so much pain he blacked out. Turning down medical assistance would be suicidally stupid. Save your insults for when you aren't at the mercy of those you want to insult.

Honestly I thought it was an insult. What with recent news and all that.

It's well known that the US Army isn't as well disciplined as the UK Army or Australian Defence Force. Not saying they're bad, just that their discipline isn't as up-to-par with their allies. This was a problem during WW2 as well.
Let me see, a soldier is defeated by a farmer, baker and Adrenalin junkie even when he was armed. If I lower my IQ I could accept that he lost because of the shock of seeing talking horses, BUT nobody in his right mind would accept the help of this “mystical creature” right after beating the shit out of him. Either this soldier is a poor representation of an Uk soldier or Uk must change his training system

Being confronted by alien wildlife and a new sentient species. I think extremely special circumstances is an understatement. No military the world over trains any of it's regular soldiers first contact protocol towards alien races that I'm aware of. But I guess anyone is certainly free to pen a letter to their local government to include a new training regimen on how to sense and avoid impending pegasus kicks (to the head no less) on alien planets so they are not disarmed. In other news, in a foreign sovereign territory inflicting harm on it's citizens as a member of the military is an EXTREMELY bad idea, regardless of whether or not it's self defense. This is something soldiers ARE made aware of, which is why lethal force was a last resort. The fics you read about people immediately adapting without severe disorientation or mild shock (as in the medical condition, not surprise) are not based in reality. He puts up a pretty good defense here. To your second point, I can relate a bit to that, but that's on the ponies, not the OC. It does seem off to accept someone's help after hurting them, but misunderstandings happen all the time, which was outlined heavily in conversation, and desperate times call for... I mean what was he supposed to do, just die? Call for a pizza? start crawling northward?

Rainbow Dash you son of a skittle...
Why did I laughed so hard
Well, I'd say beaten by civilians. Though the Rules of Engagement probably don't care about that part considering he was ambushed by foreign adversaries.
Damn it, bro should of used the rifle
