ScrambledCrackers

Run, John, run, the law commands, but gives me neither feet nor hands; better news the Gospel brings, it bids me fly and gives me wings.

T

In the aftermath of her defeat, Sunset Shimmer is struggling under the weight of paying for her wrongdoing as the other students throw insults at her, sometimes even shove her out of the way if they have an excuse, among other things. The five girls that helped Twilight Sparkle defeat Sunset have been slow to warm up to her, even if they aren't ignoring her. Sunset is virtually alone with the results of her past right now.

Then she noticed one of the guys in the school has been staring at her from a distance in the hall each day. He never says a word to her, an angry scowl on his face the whole time he stares as she leaves the school.

He is really starting to scare her.

Yikes. I'm going to watch this.

dark drama thriller? my least favorite set of tags. and yet i feel compelled to read this, even though my rational brain is screaming NO!

This is a really beautiful story.

7027915 What made you like it?

7029148 So after discovering the twist, what did you think? Also, the story almost had a Gore tag to go with it... :trollestia:

7029243 Thank you. Might I ask why you used the word beautiful as a description? I genuinely find myself surprised by that particular choice.

7029727IT felt quite thrilling, and very suspenseful.

That didn't go the way I thought it would.

It does have quite a twist when compared to the initial impression it gives. Too bad the tags will scare off a lot of people that would otherwise likely enjoy it. :applejackunsure:

7030402 That is a shame. It's definitely one of the best one shots I've seen on this site.

7030476 Thank you for the compliment, though I must give a nod to my editor for his own perspective giving me insights into better presentation for several points.

7029727 I am a woman of many words, if I decide to use it, I use it, I am very weird and I don't know why I do a lot of stuff. But here's why I said that. Sunset Shimmer was really given another chance to being a normal student because of Stone Mill I think you called him? But he kinda help her relate to her own problems and they are probably going to help both of each other out. That's just what I think and thought. So this is why I used the word 'beautiful'.

7031302 I see. Thank you for answering my query.

This needs more views, and the story to be expanded.

7036577 Thank you for reading and enjoying it, first off.

This story is firmly a one-shot, I'm afraid. While I could easily start thinking up an expansion to the story, it is not something I will ever do. It was just a foray into a new genre for me to explore writing new things when sudden inspiration struck and this whole idea came to mind out of the blue. Funniest part is I've never even see Equestria Girls.

As for more views, well there are places to do that, but authors cannot recommend their own stories for what should be pretty obvious reasons.

Thank you for reading. I'm glad you enjoyed this. I've still never seen any Equestria Girls yet, not oddly enough. :trollestia:

Well i'm pleasantly/sadly surprised I thought I was gonna get the typical sunset past trash bullshit, what I got instead was a fic that made me kinda feel a connection with mill stone, my mom killed my dad so I can relate to this to an extent just on the reverse.

Well, if my simple writing touched something of that nature, I do not envy you of such a burden. Having grown a tendency to cast aside the same tired words of condolence, I will spare you trite words I am sure you have heard a thousand times. I have known, and learned from, a number of awful things in my life as well. And yet I count myself fortunate they were no worse than they already were.

Instead, I will just say that I hope you take the lessons of your experience to heart, and in some way use what you have come through to help uplift someone else that is in the depth of sorrow themselves. Deep strength is grown in suffering, if we make the choice to use what we learn from hardship.

“Move it, bacon bitch!”

Thank you for letting me know.

It still entertains me that someone comments on this story every so often, despite how long since I wrote it.

This needs a sequel.
