careful what u say to the ponies who save you Trixie
Very nice chapter and it seems her experience might of changed Trixie a little
Well that tells us how common it is. Not very. Among Unicorns at least.
7299128 what he said.
the weedverse is like masterbateing for your mind
it reads soooo goood! *random sexual noises*
To Tarnish:
How many times did you use mouthwash and such after your misadventures healing Trixie, and has Maud let you kiss her again yet?
Saying Starlight's magic is chaos is a bit....... iffy. True those who try to restrain chaos often become chaotic by the end, but her intentions have nothing to do with sowing mayhem.

Removing a cutie mark is a disruption of harmony.
7299946
I balk against the interpretation of "harmony=order". Harmony is a balance of chaos and order made in benevolence.
Starlight's magic disrupted harmony via order, by wiping away freedom, creativity and drive, things of chaos.
7299946 That's been sort of an odd note for me for awhile. People in this fandom seem to equate Harmony with Order, when 'Harmony' seems to mean 'balance' or when things are working together well. A functional mix of both Chaos and Order. So, I'm not sure I'd say that just because Starlight's magic isn't harmonious, it's chaotic. In fact, enforcing a standard upon individuality seems to strip the chaos out of the equation. I'd even go so far to say that she's on the opposite end of the spectrum from Tarnish entirely.
Plus, one way or the other, she's unbalanced, quite possibly psychologically as well.

In this instance, cutie marks are part of harmony, because of the larger picture I've painted. Destiny has a plan (not exactly a plan, but I lack the proper word) to restore balance, using both chaos and harmony together.
Things that work against that cause disharmonious entropy and chaos. Things that work against the system that is trying to repair the world contribute to its decay. Starlight brings harm to those who could fix things and restore balance. Discord can either be useful chaos or bad chaos.
We'll understand more about Tarnish and his magic later, after we reach the Scariest Cave in Equestria.
Without spoiling too much, if Starlight was to try and take Tarnish's cutie mark, something very, very bad would happen. Tarnish's magic would work to correct the imbalance and would work to bring everything back to harmonious ideals, either through violent chaos or peaceful harmony.
The sleep of death is peaceful, it should be noted. Not that Tarnish would ever intentionally do this.
7300461 ... Why do people think chaos and entropy are one and the same exactly? It's the orderly process of concentrations of high energy seeking out areas of low energy and very little else. Because of that energy radiating out, often into lack of a medium which can perpetuate it, there is less available energy and ergo decay. Chaos is the random, the unexplained, the one chance in a million and, in my mind, as far from entropy as conceivably possible.
And yes I'm aware that's greatly simplified on both counts.
7300479
In this instance, bad chaos and entropy align together to bring things to an end.
Good chaos and harmony align together to continue life. I could say more, but I'm writing.
7300461
Now it makes sense.
As for the proper word instead of plan: concept or system?
7300675
Those work. I was writing and I didn't want to get too distracted.
7300682
Sorry if I disturbed you.
7300740
You didn't. Nobody did. I was just explaining why my comments were a bit of the sparse side.
You use a lot of words I've never heard of before, example being: Croupe
And you use a lot of scienticfic sounding stuff, I'm not hating, buts its... interesting, I don't see a lot of stories that use that and you make it work.
7300461
Mayhaps the word you are looking for is, Destiny has an Idea?
Anyway, good work on this, I love how this is going.
7300870
Not croupe, but croup.

Ahhhh, alright, my mistake on the spelling.
Whoa, lotta body terms

Late reply, I know...
Are you saying if Tarnished Teapot's power was ever "removed", HARMONY/DESTINY would use that removed power as a "clean-sweep", resetting the board?
7303746
No.
7303831
All right then.
Just be sure to make it happen like I want, because as the reader I know more about the story than the author.
(No worries, I'll just keep reading)
Why would a unicorn stoop to using zebra magic?
Interesting comment there. It seems that Trixie has some familiarity with zebra magic. That might fit show-canon, since it depicts Trixie as being less than impressive in unicorn magic, and possibly looking at ways to enhance her abilities.
Has this version of Trixie studied various other forms of magic in her desire to become ever more powerful, and has she at some time abused such forms of magic and found the results of such abuse ...Just a tiny bit problematic in some way? < Oops! Oh, that's why zebras don't do that.)
7305820 I would rate Trixie has "Above Average" certainly in magical talent. The problem is she hasn't really devoted herself to it the way that others have. She also lacks certain raw natural power the way that say...Twilight has shown.
Though I am sure that she has some familiarity with it, seeing as how a Zebra helped Twilight to defeat her. Also I am sure some of her tricks use alchemy, which would lead to stuff with Zebras.
Also she seems to look down on Zebra magic if you notice. "Stoop" was a word she used, as if Zebra magic was inherently inferior to Unicorn magic.
7724380
One only needs to notice the sheer number of spells Trixie knows. Boast Busters shows that she knows far more than the common unicorn.
7300883
Well, what do you know, horses do have arms.
