I normally avoid humanization. However, just for having awesome cover art, I'll set it for read later.
To answer most of your questions, this story was inspired entirely by the cover art. I've never considered writing FlutterDash before, and especially not as a humanization, but that artwork set gears in my mind going and I felt I just needed to write this.
And I'm also glad to see all the positive feedback on this story. I've never considered myself good at fictional writing, mostly due to the lack of encouragement or enjoyment of my work by my English teachers, so this really makes me happy!
I have to admit, you have piqued my curiosity with this one!
Plus I'm a FlutterDash shipper. XD Okay, so they're humanoid ponies, with wings? Interesting! Eee! I love the cover art, too!
You know, it's funny too, I sometimes had some little inklings of this kind of idea happening around the events of the episode, so, good for you on that one!

@NintendoGal55 Not humanoid, that would mean a mixture between pony and human, which we call anthro. These are just humans with wings. As for that matter, I assumed that since pegasi are a hybrid between horse and bird, there can be a human/bird hybrid too. Similar to characters in the Maximum Ride series, if you've ever read them.
