But one day Starlight Glimmer encounters a mysterious filly. A filly who is immune to Starlight's cutie mark-stealing magic. A filly with no name, no family, and no past. A filly who refuses to wipe that creepy smile off her face. As the filly begins to make friends with everyone in Ponyville, Starlight searches for a way to beat her. And what does the filly want from Starlight?
She just wants to break her.

She looks like a filly, but the way she talks and the way she acts is not in anyway fitting of somepony her age. She also talks as though she has met Starlight before, even though Starlight clearly doesn't know her. This filly does something to Starlight's magic, and can't be Equalized, and never stops giggling. And what the hell did she do to Fluttershy, why did she need that pocket-watch? Did she hypnotize her? Why did she kill that poor rat?
Forget my question about who this filly is, I have a much more important question:
What is this thing?

. . . Those are scarily good theories. On the one hand, it says a lot about Discord if he's willing to go to such lengths to save his friends after only just learning about friendship, but at the same time it is unnerving that he would resort to such methods as the smiling rat. I wouldn't normally peg him for using scare tactics, but then, this is Discord we are talking about. Unpredictability is in his nature.
Note to anyone else who happens to be reading this: I don't actually know if the filly is Discord in disguise. These are all just theories at this point.
