Over Summer break, Sweetie Belle was surprisingly left with nothing to do. Usually she was out with her two fellow crusaders getting into various dilemmas and situations, but not this Summer. This Summer was a very uneventful one, and Rarity can agree. Not even a single trip to Canterlot was planned since it wasn't even necessary.
So what else was Sweetie to do but laze about and eat, eat, and eat a little more. This continued for a little longer until Summer ended and it was the first day of the sophomore year for Sweetie Belle. But as she got dressed for school, she came across something hideous. Something she couldn't hide for the life of her.
She had gotten fat. She panics and overreacts, but luckily her big sister knows just the words to tell her.

I'd say the lesson is never to be ashamed of your looks. Though, I wouldn't encourage being fat or being comfortable with it, for purely health reasons. Just because you're okay with how you look doesn't mean you should be okay with all that cholesterol and stuff. Your heart will thank you.
Also, what's up with all the plus sized Sweetie fics? Celestia, Twilight, Mrs. Cake and Pinkie Pie all seem like much more logical choices to deal with this.

This is why I love Rarity and Sweetie Belle; they're so cute and sweet together. I like that there are more weight gain stories involving Sweetie Belle cropping up here and there. Personally, I prefer SpikeBelle, but you made the ButtonBelle relationship work. Honestly, I'm not too into human stories, but nevertheless I enjoyed this. I like how it reminded me of "Various Kinds of Dread."

6633097 No, I'm saying that you shouldn't care about your looks because they don't matter. The people it does matter to don't care about you, they care about your looks. But unlike your looks, your health does matter. If you diet and work out and all that with the expectation that you'll look better because of it, you're going to be disappointed and give up because you'll still look like you and not the supermodel TV says you will look like in the end. If you do all that with the expectation that you'll be healthier, you'll hit measureable milestones and meet your goals, and you'll get healthier.
Basically, if you're not pretty now then you probably won't be pretty later, but that doesn't matter. If you're not healthy now, you can get healthy, and that does matter. So forget about what you got in the genetic lottery and work towards the things that you can change.
