So soft~

The softest.
I don't want to sound like I didn't enjoy the whole Stalliongrad arc, but I'm really looking forward to Twilight and her down time.
There were alot of nice moments with Twilight and Gadget, but on the whole I feel like Twilight's character is more interesting when faced with the juxtaposition of her personality and the peaceful life of Ponyville or Canterlot.
Stalliongrad is an interesting city (if a bit bleak), but apart from Gadget there wasn't anyone that Twilight could play off of.
That's just my opinion, like I said; still enjoyed it, and looking forward to the next part.

As am I! Actually, I'm looking forward to tackling some of the episodes as brief sequiters or parts of other chapters. Especially Zecora.
Gadget will be around more, and some may not be expecting what Twilight has planned for her. Personally, I look forward to some slice-of-life chapters with the two of them, and perhaps some of her new friends from Ponyville.
So, when exactly does the prologue take place? It seems to take place before Twilight's ascension, so in another 1.5-2 years in the story?

That's functioning on the assumption that Twilight could, in any way, qualify for ascension in my story. While she will most likely perform feats worthy of such a thing, I question whether Celestia would ever accept her becoming an alicorn.
As for a timeframe however, I'd say you're pretty close to being on the money. A lot of this will take a lot of time for her to do. She's working from the ground up after all. The deck's stacked against her in every way.
Of course, the exact timeframe is just for me to know...you'll just have to wait and see!
Feel like that would flow better as I.

Blrgh, missed that. Fixing!
Hmm... interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if it does come back to bite Twilight in the ass. She was eventually caught, after all. A lot of little clues, similarities in situations in the same places when Twilight was there? Happens too many times, someone with the big picture could eventually figure it out. Or she just screws up, who knows (other than the author). I can't wait to find out!

Oh trust me, Twilight may not be talking about it, but that's been a concern in the back of her mind from the start. Doing this stuff yourself instead of having lackeys you can afford to sacrifice in your place, it makes things really risky and complicated.
Not to mention, Celestia wasn't born yesterday....
Having Twilight call the police first rather than waiting for them to show up was a pretty smart way of disarming that situation before it became too much trouble, otherwise the chapter was pretty much what I was expecting with Twilight using her mind magic to fix everything.
Probably the line that grabbed my attention the most was this bit, seems like it could be something more serious but I'd be unsure what, could also be nothing so I guess we'll see.
More episode chapters in the future I see, I know you mentioned Bridle Gossip because of Zecora but I'm hoping to see Boastbusters as well since I'd like to see how this Twilight interacts with Trixie.
Looking forward to more .

She doesn't much like relying on her mind magic in situations like that, but it's definitely her trump card and she'll use it if it offers her a safe option. As for other episode chapters, I'm definitely going to try to get some Trixie action in here. Honestly, I hadn't given that episode much thought because I never considered her an important character for this story. Could be, but unless I take a left turn somewhere down the line, I don't see it happening. My focus is currently more intensely focused on Zecora.
7184535 True, it is possible that she wouldn't qualify, especially with what happened, or up to you as to whether ascension should even be canon in this story. However, I have a feeling Celestia might grt a little too... involved in Twilight's business for her to be comfortable. Who knows though. Only you.

Not to mention, how badass do you have to be to look at a guy wielding a lightsaber, a weapon that can apparently cut through almost anything, and say 'yeah, I can totally take that'?

I loved that scene for no other reason than he kicked Boyega's ass. Then got punked out by a fucking lucky blaster round. I went flaccid after that. Out of all the stories I've read and movies I've seen, Star Wars is one of the very few to have a logical reason to have a swordfight in a gun battle.
Speaking of dicks, however, I like the touches on having hermaphrodites being a normal thing in this world. Personally I'd like a little more talk about them because it's one of the unique and defining features, but i don't know how well that would work out just yet.
7188909
Well, most of what matters regarding hermaphrodites has already been said, but more will probably come up later, especially regarding Gadget. Unlike Twilight, she grew up without taking suppressants. You can bet that caused a lot of embarrassing problems she probably doesn't want to admit to just yet.

Wow, thank you! That's some of the best praise I've heard in a while. I actually have a legit problem settling for anything less than genuine quality when I write, so I'm glad to see that my efforts have been noticed.

Heh, that's pretty much what I was going for with that whole chapter. I mean from one perspective, Twilight's a monster. She went to Charlatan's house with the sole intent being to fucking murder him with zero mercy. She knew exactly what she was doing and she enjoyed every second of doing it, like the psychopath she is. However, from an entirely different perspective, she just got rid of a problem that needed to be fixed, and if she happened to enjoy doing it, that's just a bonus. Both perspectives aren't necessarily wrong.
Of course, the inherent danger of her activities is one that any sensible person would have: how long until Twilight goes over the edge? I don't know enough about how the mind works, in fact I don't think anyone does, so I couldn't realistically say what might trigger her to step over those lines, but it's important to realize that any lines that she may cross, they are lines she has placed down herself. She has actively limited herself and exerted her own willpower to keep her compulsions under control. What matters when it comes to that is how long her willpower will maintain itself. It probably also helps that she clearly has a conscience.

The memory of the masses tends to fade with time, unfortunately. They'll forget her wars as they focus more on their own lives and the way things are in the present. Just the same, if Celestia kept shoving her past feats into the faces of her ponies, yes she would be feared, but she would be feared the same way a tyrant is. The same goes for other nations, and with the potential for propaganda to completely destroy her reputation, she has to be remarkably careful about what she says. There are a lot of stupid people in the world, after all.
Consider for a moment, how quickly people blame the President of the United States when something goes wrong. Those of us with a brain know that it's not completely his fault, in fact it's not even primarily the President's fault. It's the fault of numerous individuals that either didn't do their job right, or couldn't contain the situation and make things work. Yet, all you will hear in social media, in the news, and from commenters on forums is things like 'Thanks Obama!' and other things of that nature. Because it's easier to blame the figurehead than it is to accurately identify who did what wrong or if anyone's actually at fault at all.
Yes, Celestia could say 'fuck it' and commit a bloody, casualty-ridden war upon every single crime family in Equestria. Doing so however, would require her to not be a bleeding heart of a mare that can't help but want to find some good in everyone. She used to carry the Element of Kindness for a reason.
7191281 True. And a nastier Celestia that many authors I've seen would have therefor intentionally set her sister the warmare on the path to do it for her, so she could take the moral high ground and condemn her for it.
7192106
It could be argued that everything Twilight has planned is in and of itself a very, very poor life decision.
7199782
Well, there are plenty of chapters for you to catch up on, so enjoy!
...... For the part where she speaks Russiam, is it
1. Bullshit
2. Actual Russian that a native speaker could respect from a capitalist douchebag, but google translate fucked it up royally
or
3. Bullshit that google translate fucked up royally.
(If it's 2., plz tell me what she said.)
7273487
It's actualy Russian. It's translated:
I do not really want to start from zero in a new city. I just slept with three mares this month, and you're so soft, you'd be the fourth if you weren't a stud, " she said, letting out a small sigh. "It's sad that we have to start a new stable.
P. S. I am not very good in English, so there May be a few mistakes. And yes, Google translate fucked it.
Uh-oh...
