Having some free time to herself, all Twilight wanted to do was read, and relax in the comfort of her own home. Unfortunately her concept of comfort isn't what most of Equestria would consider to be socially acceptable. Within the confines of her palace, this isn't really a problem. But when Rarity comes by unexpectedly, that all changes.

People don't look all that good either.
Its a nice, balanced dialogue and you could almost read lines free of context beyond "rarity and twi talk" and gather who was saying it.
I like their discussion. Feels true to the characters and organic.
That's all it takes, a seed of practicality before Rarity's natural curiosity gets the better of her.
Still greatly enjoying the story. Can't wait for Rarity's curiosity to take hold. Keep up the good work.

I think it works out, and that rarity didn't just go straight to yes or no but actually discussed it with her self in detail.
Baldness is a luxury of privacy and time alone, which twilight has plenty of, but rarity, being a shop owner and watching over sweetie bell has little of. Can you imagine her trying to sell something to a customer while maintaining an illusion spell?
Really enjoyed this piece, more for the character interactions then the subject ( which i just found kind of strange but you made it work).
Oh, I was SOOOO hoping that Rainbow Dash would do one of her usual impromptu arrivals while they were having their little talk

But... Rarity wasn't even considering going nude. Calling what she was considering trying 'going nude' is like saying anyone who ever changes clothes 'goes nude'. She considered removing her old 'clothes' and putting on a fresh set, nothing more. Even if she had done it then and there she wouldn't have even been trying nudity.

That's a very, very good catch. But there's a reason for Rarity having such a position. I'm guessing that I didn't write it properly, but it was meant to convey Rarity's mindset as concerned about her friend, and wondering if she was going to need to stage an intervention, like family tries to do when a member has a drug addiction and they want them to get clean. It was meant to suggest concern rather than a sense of entitlement. I'm guessing I could've done better.

Well technically she was planning on being nude for a while, just not for an extended period of time. The aspect of new clothing was just intended to show that she believed she could get something positive out of it, one way or another. She would either walk away with a new coat, and discover a new method of maintaining her outer beauty, or more understanding about being nude.

Actually... I do have a few ideas for a possible sequel.
You might have included a mention that once Twilight finishes the regrowth spell, she'd get REALLY hungry, after all, I doubt she can conjure keratin out of nothing, and it would REALLY drain her protein (and other nutrients) reserves of her body in order to grow back a pound or two of fur and feathers.

Possibly. But at this point in the story, Twilight is still new to the whole thing, and hasn't had time to properly consider everything. That's what the sequel is for.

That's because when I was doing the editing to remove some of the less than appealing bits of character dialogue, I wasn't confident that I could properly streamline things to a more coherent form, so I did it as new chapters in case of writer or technical error. If something happened, at least that way I'd have the other chapters untouched.
