This has got to be the funniest story I have read in a while. And I would love to see it continued because of one little thing. Twilight wasn't using her magic when hiding with spike and the dolls were both moving.

The closest I can figure is all that sexual repression, plus alicorn physiology, plus totems of intimate emotional attachment equals tiny magic dolls having all the sex that I wanted to!

So, Twilight was affecting the dolls because all she needed was a bit of... stuffing.
