I write books, make indie games, love Pokemon and FIM, and have a Ko-Fi, please give me money. Currently working on: Pokemon InfraRed and UltraViolet.

He arrived in Canterlot four years ago with a sack of bits, good eyes, and a greater vision. Now he's the sixth-richest CEO in Canterlot, the third strongest Grandmaster in the Pro Magical Duelling Circuit, and the most handsome, in his personal opinion. But behind the charming smile of this Gentlepony Adventurer lies a dark secret: When not selling enchanted armours or food imported from alternate worlds in his supermarket chains and fast food stores across Equestria, the well-connected, creative, unforgiving and absolutely brilliant Unicorn known as Silver Star has been running a rather profitable side business: Donning disguises and conning the richest, stupidest, and most corrupt monsters around the world and across the multiverse out of everything they own. Sometimes, the Canterlot Police Department, the secret multiverse-mapping "Map Club", and that law firm he bought will pass the cases they deem "Impossible" to him. Other times, he seeks out his own prey, or the wounded and helpless will come to him for aid. The risk, the rush, the thrill of a good plan executed perfectly, or better yet, salvaged despite unforseen complications... It's incredible.

But when even gold loses its lustre, Silver Star - formerly Star Apple - must make new bonds, reconnect with his family, and embrace friendship. But what does it mean when feelings start to appear in a heart he had believed to be beyond even the warmest touch? And when something is traded away... is it possible to get it back?

In the heart of Ponyville, oblivious to the machinations of Canterlot in his absence, as a disaster of his own making prepares to tear Equestria asunder, Silver Star Apple is going to find out.

But those pleasant slice-of-life adventures are put on hold when a new threat to the world rises. 21 magical cards have hidden themselves around Equestria, and the underground Diamond Dog Empire isn't the only group trying to collect them. Gather them all, and none can match your power. Can Silver and his new best friends find them in time?

Why are all comments hidden?

Was: "Viewing 1-7 of 8"
Now: "Viewing 1-1 of 1"

Ok then.

Suddenly, nine downvotes. Had only 5 last night. Odd.

I love that you wrote a romance and would love to see the next chapter please... If the comments are really being hidden, I hope you get this...

8119964 Thank you! I'm working on the next chapter now. Regarding comments getting hidden... I think that might have been a one-off thing, since those old comments were written for the fic pre-rewrite.

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner my friend... I was at a funeral for my great grandmother all day...
I'm glad to hear there's another chapter though! Keep up the great work! :pinkiehappy:

The story is interesting but the chapter feels like it would have been better for it to be spilt chapters instead of one full 17k word chapter. There are some parts that felt off and had to read again, it seems to jump back in the middle... It's really because when reading stories each chapter focuses on certain parts of the story, but this chapter felt like reading 2-4 chapters at once with no break to think about it.

I like the characters, history and the other side of noble business in Equestria. I do love how Sliver tricks and uses his smarts to take over Canterlot.

I'll still read it since it's really good. Just you don't have to put everything in one chapter.

8137588 I admit, wanting to fit everything into one chapter like that was a real problem. To be honest, I wasn't sure when to end it. I didn't want it to look like the series is going to be about business, then suddenly turn around and go to Ponyville. Later chapters will hopefully be shorter. Think of this one as an extra-long two-part opener.

I love this story. Read a few chapters on fanfiction, but decided to read It from the beginning again on fimfiction.

What? No comments? Well, then, I shall be the first!

FOOL! none can satiate the beast that is my literary appetite! It shall always demand moar, and Moar, and MOAR!!! Until nothing is left but harsh criticism and poor grammar! (Lol, I should write an epic novel... or something)

He was in Ponyville for one reason and one reason alone. To reconnect with his family, make some new friends, and see Twilight more often. Some may have called that more than one reason, but he knew if he planned on getting all reasons over and done with as soon as possible, he could count them as one and therefore fit them all on one line, to save space on his mental To-Do list. His will was unstoppable, his determination overflowing, and nothing could distract him from his goals.

He gets distracted by something, doesn't he...

But he felt hungry, so Silver Star Apple chose to take a brief detour.

“Looking at all these apple trees, surely they were planted at different intervals. Apples all year round, right?” Silver asked.

I don't think that's how Apple trees work... or is it because this is equestria and... cartoon logic?

I find your OC's list of accomplishments and successes to be rather fishy.

Later on, it turns out that most of them were only possible because of a dark secret.

Thank you for understanding that reference. Did you see what I did with their names?

It's subtle Apple Pony magic making trees work how you want, within reason, the same way unsubtle Unicorn magic can make fire act how you want, within a bit less reason. I figured Earth Ponies needed a buff to let them compete with Unicorns and Pegasi, so I went with that.

I did saw what you did with their names.

Also, keep spoilers to yourself.

Nice lore behind the cards.

This was a cathartic chapter, well done.

Thanks! Share it with your friends, especially those who don't like Glimmer.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with most people on this chapter. While I agree with silver's ideals (communism is a horrible thing), I found myself rolling my eyes halfway through the story. If I wanted a lecture on politics, I could go watch Ben Shapiro, Steven Crowder, or Gavin McGinnis. Also, while I get some people hate starlight glimmer, I'm personally indifferent to her character, and this chapter did not feel like her character at all (ooc). It felt like you were beating on her for no other reason than you hate her, and that's something I can't get behind. I read this chapter hoping to see a continuation of silver's story, and instead I got an unneeded political lecture (I knew all that already), and a brutal fight. This whole chapter could've been condensed into 2000 words, and it would have been just as good. Don't get me wrong. I love your writing style, and I like the crazy adventures, but the fun and enjoyment I normally get from your stories was absent here. It felt like a rant rather than a story.

I understand. Sorry if it went too far, I figured adding in all that "how economies work", "how wealth works", "how rich doesn't inherently equal evil" stuff would make this scene better than the usual anti-commie "This bad guy wants everyone to be the same and that is wrong" stuff.

I already held back a few paragraphs on Specialization and The Division of Labour and how important that stuff is and how communism also kills that, because I felt it was getting too long.

Luckily for me, the next chapter is all-awesome, no-politics. Time to see the fruits of Silver's extreme redecorating adventure! Because that's the kind of kickass action this story will have from now on. ...Just kidding, after Silver shows off Twilight's new house, the mane six and silver go and stop a bank robbery and kick some butt. And we finally see our next Card!

What will it be? It's time to find out!

Now I want to see a fanfic where starlight goes through every universe and become reformed.
