I obviously did not remember this one very well. XD

Here via 6972326's review. I remember this fondly, and honestly I always thought that the third section was way underrated. The idea of subverting the Moonbase Alpha memespeak by making it glossolalia representative of a language barrier always hit me right in the sweet spot.

I do think this would have been stronger in three separate chapters, though. It never struck me as a cohesive piece so much as three unrelated variations on the same theme.

6990232 When I wrote this, I more or less just wanted to write something and then a write-up came along so I used a fairly planned stream of consciousness to try two short pieces, one atmospheric (which is my favourite thing for kickstarting a long writing session, I winded up writing more of another story when I finished) and the other an experiment in first-person. I haven't done it a lot, and while it was fun to write, I wasn't intending on "strengthening" the story with it. If I wanted it to be anything more than an experiment and a writing kickstarter, then I probably would have separated it into three chapters.

Honestly, the third part is one of my favourite writing excerpts though, mainly for the reasons you described. It was half an experiment in comedy, half because the language barrier idea is something I've always found interest in, and a sprinkle because I had watched the moonbase alpha videos some days before.

ok let's be real none of this is true I vomited words about an internet meme

*Snickers* Very interesting somewhat disconnected vignettes. Gotta admit, the last one cracked me up.
