This is actually funny. The only problem is that there isn't enough of it. If you had maybe one or two more background characters to make more room for laughs, and built up the 'elegant mare' to make it seem more like Twilight Sparkle then it could be really good.

I didn't laugh.
But I found it a great story.

I didn't suspect Twilight... I actually thought it was Rarity until he turned her away. I want more Lunamac.

While I thought I knew what to expect, it turned out to be a pretty good surprise. All those hints pointed to a specific main character, but were vague enough to elude the true answer. It really caught me by surprise and made this a notable writing. Sure, the comedy wasn't not really there and it was nothing too romantic, but it was a good little story that had a good little twist at the end. I still think Big Mac's feelings and thoughts were pretty well written.

Whee! I was sure he had fallen for Fluttershy, but no. That was fun, and I was expecting Rainbow to come for Applejack, but again I was pleasantly surprised.
