That was a really well-done letter. And wow, was it dark. I'm actually kind of hoping to see more of that tone through the "fetish-y clop scenes."
Also, the headcanon surrounding their prior relationship is fascinating (aside from the rather typical portrayal of Shining Armor lusting for Twilight Sparkle).
3823772 Thanks, though as I said, that headcanon is restricted to this story alone. In my others, changelings are ponies who have undergone a forceful transformation. Chrysalis turned herself into the first and created the others from captives.
And while the TwiShining thing is cliche, this whole idea was originally prompted by an attempt to come up with a situation where that pairing wouldn't feel horribly wrong or OOC, and one of my ideas was "Shining and Chrysalis have a consensual relationship and she does it for him." It was done as a nod to my inspiration point, and isn't going to be a major factor - the nights she refers to were more a random idea he had and kind of regrets rather than an ongoing fetish.
Adding some clop to this after I take care of some real-life things and finish up another project. And yes, Emotionally Unstable Chrysalis will likely continue being a thing here.
Well... That was one good backstory why the wedding was a target.
Now here's hoping Shining DOES try to fix this, and not end up a mind controlled slave, since he is basically like that for being in the Guard.

Perhaps. It started as a one-shot with just the letter, then I intended to follow it up with 2-3 chapters of cloppy stuff. But I put it aside for a while and recently just haven't been in the mood to write sex. If the mood for that hits me again, I might come back to this and let it be more darkly sexual than clop, but I'm not sure when that'll be. Maybe when I'm caught up on finances and feel like I can relax again.
