Memories are always the most horrifying thing you can mess with.
I did a double take after Pip dissapeared and Rumble started talking about being in the back.
But I quickly realized where we were headed.
A cool creepy story.
This was good. A bit short for my tastes when it comes to horror, but still effective.
It took me a while to realize that they were slowly disappearing.
I just read this in the Nightmare Nights collection. I can say without exaggeration that it is one of the few that has actually made me lose sleep. Achievement unlocked, I guess.

Super high in creep factor. I had to read it twice to understand what was happening.
I thought for a moment that maybe if you sing the whole way you'd survive. It seems you only vanish during periods of silence. But then I realized the path is likely infinite. So you're doomed no matter what.
Another thing about this fic that will probably bother me for the next several days is how it ends. To me this is scarier than getting erased from existence. At least Snips didn't know that was coming. It's that in his final moments, Snips had no friends. Its likely those colts, Snails especially where his tightest friend group. In his final moments he existed in a reality where he had no friends. That is just really sad to me.
