It’s been 2 months since Andromeda tried to modify her mothers time-travel spell and nearly caused a disaster, but things are returning to normal. However, due to her incredible skill and her being the daughter of one of Equestria’s Princesses, she has been chosen to participate in the upcoming World Duel Championships X. Three of her closest friends, Tempest, Bismarck, and Radiance, along with her cousin Sagittario, the son of Wonderbolt legends Spitfire and Soarin: Firestorm, and a new face named Yu, will travel the world to become the world champions. Along the way, they’ll discover new friends, new rivals, deadly enemies, and the son of Twilight’s oldest rival: Trixie!

Pay attention to when Firestorm loses control in this chapter. It will have a very large roll in the overall plot of the story. I can't say much now, but I will say this: it will have something to do with the Alicorn Amulet seen in season 3, episode 5, Magic Duel.

Although I decided not to read it after perusing the first chapter, I have to commend you for your work. I'm amazed that you've managed to write almost a novel's length worth of words before publishing; that kind of thing takes some serious dedication and effort. I always tell new writers to start small, to write short stories instead of leaping into a giant epic fantasy trilogy project or the like. But in your case, I think you've done awesome. I'm sure this will be a fantastic learning experience for you, and that you'll take all the lessons from this project to heart so that your next story will be astronomically better. I hope that you see this story through to the end, and I wish you the best of luck with your writing.

An awesome start so far! Your rewrite is a vast improvement throughout, slowing down the pace a bit to go through the characters more. I like that a lot. I'm also seriously impressed at how much you've written in such a short amount of time. That's a gift I wish I had.
