//------------------------------// // The Shaolin Temple in the Sky // Story: The World Duel Championships X // by The Avenger //------------------------------// The Shaolin Temple in the Sky In Beijing, China, Team Star Swirl has just left the airport. “All right!” The entire group said. “Well, we finally made it to China,” Andromeda said. “Wow. It’s a real happening place,” Yu said as they look around. “Yeah,” Tempest said. “What’s that?” He asked when he sees a jade statue that looks like a lion. “And whats that?” Sagittario asked when he sees a red building with fancy ornaments on it. “Jeez, you guys,” Bismarck said. “Calm down. It’s gettin’ kinda embarrassing.” “Aw, you looks so cute when your blushing,” Radiance said, which makes Bismarck blush even more. “Anyway, now that we’re in China, what are we supposed to do next?” Tempest asked. “Our match in the first round of the A-Block is in 3 day,” Firestorm pointed out. “So, what are we supposed to do until then?” Yu asked. “It’s not exactly a complex magical equation made by Star Swirl the Bearded,” Andromeda said. “We have to collect information.” “Huh? You want us to collect information?” Tempest, Sagittario and Yu all asked. “Think about it. Other then Chi-yun and Mei-Mei, we don't know a single thing about our opponents.” Andromeda pointed out. “Oh, I get it,” Tempest said. “We get in their skin and crawl around a bit.” “Thats the plan, Stan,” Andromeda said to Tempest. “The better we know the opposition, the better prepared we’ll be.” “All right, let’s all go out and collect information together,” Sagittario said, before they all quickly leave. ================================================================== A bit later, the 7 friends are on the Great Wall, admiring both it’s size and the beauty of the landscape. “Cool!” They all said, except for Sagittario, who’s looking for something. “Awesome!” Tempest added. “When you come to China, you just gotta see the Great Wall!” Yu said. “So where are they?” Sagittario suddenly asked. “Here pandas.” “Pandas?” Radiance asked, a bit surprised from Sagittario’s question. ================================================================== Later at a restaurant called ‘Haochi Restaurant,’ the 7 are enjoying lunch. “Soooooo goooooood,” Bismarck said as he eats some fried rice along with the others. “When you come to China, you just gotta love the Chinese food,” Yu added as he eats some noodle soup. “Where are the pandas? Here pandas,” Sagittario said in between bites of some lychee fruit. “What are you talking about?” Andromeda asked as she drinks some soy milk. ================================================================== Later … “Wow! It's so big!” Tempest said as they see the Forbidden City. “When you come to China, you just gotta see the Forbidden City!” Yu said. “Where are the pandas? Here pandas!” Sagittario called out. “Give the pandas a rest!” Both Andromeda and Radiance shouted. ================================================================== “That was so cool,” Tempest, Sagittario and Yu said once their done sightseeing. “We’ll, now that we’ve eaten and seen the sights, time to chill at the hotel,” Tempest said. “Series lack of pandas, though,” a downcast Sagittario said as he, Tempest and Yu and leave for the hotel. “Where are you guy going?” Andromeda asked. “We not here to collect information about China, we have to collect information about the team were facing: Wang Hu Zhong!” A steamed Andromeda said as she, Radiance and Bismarck glare at the three. “Seriously, you guys are truly unbelievable,” Firestorm said. “Everyone’s a critic,” Tempest said. “We don’t even know where those guys are,” Sagittario pointed out. “So what can we do?” “Experiencing the culture of a country you're visiting for the first time is important too.” Yu said. “Yeah, well said,” Sagittario and Tempest simultaneously said. “That -- That’s true, of course. But still,” Andromeda said. “Hey, give those back!” A female voice suddenly yelled from a nearby alley. “That voice! It sounds familiar,” Andromeda said when the 7 heard the voice. “Let’s go check it out.” Sagittario said as he and the others run down the alley, and soon see a yellow, female griffin, with purple eyes, wearing a reddish-pink Chinese dress with a yellow trim, with pink heart buttons that are connected to each other by yellow strips, and has a ‘ox horn’ hair style. There are three young griffins behind here, and three unicorn stallions wearing black jackets and sunglasses in front of here. “Mei-Mei?” Andromeda asked. “What’s the matter, sweetie?” The unicorn on the right asked. “Where’d all your confidence go?” “You wanted to take all three of us by yourself. It’s too late to back out now, sister.” The middle one added. “If we win, we get to do whatever we want with you,” the one on the left said, having a few dirty things in mind. “And if you lose, you return all the things that you took from these kids,” Mei-Mei said, which makes the three laugh. “Yeah! Sure we will. If you win, then no problem,” the right one said, only to be proven wrong that it is a problem for the three. “Ferocious Tiger Waltz!” Mei-Mei suddenly said as she kicks the three back several feet, much to the three unicorns shock, breaking the left unicorn’s glasses. “No way!” The one of the right said out of shock. “Soaring Fire Bird!” Mei-Mei said as she charges at the unicorn on the right, hitting him with enough force that he’s sent flying into a wall. “Fighting Snake Flash!” Mei-Mei added as she moves in a snakelike pattern, before she hits the other two unicorns, sending the two to the wall also. Mei-Mei then punches a wooden lamppost, and knocks it down, with it nearly landing on the three. “Now, hand over the kids things, you creeps.” “We’ll remember this,” one of the unicorns said as he pulls out a bag and tosses it to the kids before they all run. “You better, you big bullies!” Mei-Mei said as she sticks her tong out at them. “Whoa!” “That was cool.” “Man, and she’s just a sub-member of Team Wang Hu Zhong.” “It just shows you how skilled their team is,” Sagittario, Yu, Tempest and then Andromeda all said. “Thanks a lot, miss,” one of the younglings said to Mei-Mei after he picks up his late fathers watch. “No more talking with guys like that. Okay?” Mei-Mei said to the three, who nod their heads. “Yes ma’am,” the three said as they leave. “Mei-Mei,” Andromeda said, getting the griffins attention. “Andromeda! And your friends, too,” a slightly surprised Mei-Mei said. “At last, you’ve come to China.” “You bet. To duel you, Team Wang Hu Zhong. And we don’t intend of losing in the first round, either.” Tempest said. “Actually, we’re really glad to see you,” Sagittario said. “We’ve been looking all over for you guys.” “Looking for us? Why?” “Well, because Andi has been bugging us all day to collect information about the enemy.” Sagittario said. “Huh? What kind of information?” Mei-Mei asked. “Sagittarius Armor, you knuckle head!” Andromeda yelled as she covers his mouth. “WatfoiudIdol? [What did I do?]” Sagittario mumbled. “What he means is that we like you to show us how your team practices, if it’s not too much trouble,” Tempest said. “Oh, real subtle, Tempest,” Radiance said. Andromeda than nervously chuckles a little. “Of course you would never show us you're training secrets just because we asked nicely. Right?” Andromeda said. “Sure, it’s fine,” Mei-Mei said, which surprises the group. “Thanks Mei-Mei,” Tempest said as Andromeda lets Sagittario go. “So, let's go,” Sagittario said. “It’s no problem at all. But it might destroy your confidence,” Mei-Mei said. “Huh? What’s that about our confidence?” Andromeda asked, saying whats on everyone's mind. “You’ll understand once you see,” Mei-Mei simply said. ================================================================== Later on the mountains nearby, Team Star Swirl, being led by Mei-Mei, are climbing the mountains. The seven members are all grunting and panting, with even Tempest and Firestorm having resorted to walking since their wings grew really tired. “Man, how far is this place?” A worn out Sagittario said as they stop to rest a bit. “Not much further,” Mei-Mei said. “Its just over there. See?” Mei-Mei said as she points toward a building at the top of the mountain. “Whoa!” The entire group said. “Awesome!” Tempest added. “Theres a practice area in a place like that?” Andromeda asked. “So every time you practice, you come all the way into the mountains?” Bismarck asked. “How do you have any energy to train after this climb?” Yu asked. “The climb is part of our training too,” Mei-Mei answered. “So, lets pick up the pace.” “Awwwwwwww!” ================================================================== Once they enter the gates of the group see different creatures, mostly griffins and unicorns, wearing grey martial art clothing, some of them with shaven heads, are doing different exercises. Some are puling 500 kg weights, some are fire arrows at lit candles, the arrows flying by the candles so closely that they extinguish the flame while leaving the candle unharmed, while others are doing push ups with only the tip of one hoof, some are practicing a martial arts technique, and some unicorns are balancing on a rope. Suddenly, one falls off. “What do you think you're doing!?” A unicorn around Twilight’s age, wearing black martial arts clothing, said the one that fell. “If you loss your sense of balance, you won’t be able to use a spell properly!” “I’m -- I’m sorry!” The unicorn said. “That’s harsh!” Andromeda, Radiance, Sagittario, Bismarck, and Yu all said. “This place makes the Wonderbolt Academy look like a kiddy camp,” Tempest said to Firestorm. “Your right about that,” Firestorm said. “What is this place?” Andromeda asked. “It’s our practice area,” Mei-Mei answered. “The Shaolin Monastery, or Shoaling Temple if you prefer.” “This place is a temple?” Bismarck asked. “Shaolin Temple has been around for over 4,000 years now. China’s best of the best train here,” Chi-yun suddenly said as he walks up to Team Star Swirl, surprising them. “Chi-yun!” Andromeda said. “Welcome, Andromeda,” Chi-yun said. “Here at Shaolin Temple, the most talented creatures from around the country gather to practice and hone their skills. After completing the rigorous training, they are then acknowledged as the best of the best of all of China.” “Every 3 years, China’s representative team for the world championships is picked from either the top four or top six of Shaolin Temple, who have proven that their skills are the best in the country, with Wang Hu Zhong being the most recent.” Mei-Mei added. “Wow! That’s impressive,” Andromeda said. “So the special training here is the secret to Wang Hu Zhong’s strength.” Firestorm added. “When you said we might lose our confidence, you weren't kidding, were you?” Radiance said to Mei-Mei. “Now then, follow me.” Mei-Mei said as she heads to one of the corridors. “There’s someone I want you all to meet.” “And who would that be?” Andromeda said as she and the others follow. “ You will see, Andromeda,” Chi-yun said. Before long, they enter an area that has a large dip, about 25 feet wide, in the middle. It’s surrounded by 30 ponies, half of them being unicorns. The 15 unicorns are all preparing a spell, while the other ponies are getting ready to fire arrows, all of them aiming at the center of the ring, where a tall, muscular, tan coated unicorn stallion with a long dark brown mane with yellow highlights on the side, green eyes that give him an intense look, a white coat, and wearing a red, white lined shirt that has a high collar, and a white sleeveless coat with yellow fur trim that covers his cutie mark. “What’s happening here?” Tempest asked. “Fire!” The thirty ponies all shouted as they all fire at the unicorn, which makes the group gasp. The unicorn then jumps into the air right as the arrows and lasers were about to hit. He then fires a green blast of magic of his own, which not only breaks the arrows but also makes the lasers disappear. “Whoa!” Team Star Swirl said as the unicorn lands in front of them, followed by the pieces of the arrows, with even their pointed tips in small pieces. “That was awesome!” An amazed Yu said. “All of those arrows and lasers with just one hit…” Firestorm tried to said. “He was able to read all that magic movement that quickly!?” A surprised Andromeda asked. “What’s this? Who are these people?” The unicorn asked, referring to Team Star Swirl. “Who are you calling ‘people’?” Sagittario asked. “Let me introduce them,” Mei-Mei offered as she walks up to the unicorn. “These are Equestria’s representatives, Team Star Swirl in the flesh.” “Oh! Please excuse my rudeness,” the unicorn said as he politely bows before the team. “I am the leader of China’s representatives, Wang Hu Zhong. I am Dashan Wang.” “Your Wang Hu Zhong’s team leader?” Bismarck asked. “Dashan Wang?” Andromeda asked. “Welcome all, to our Shaolin Temple.” Dashan added. “Hold on, wait. You mean Chi-yun isn’t the leader?” Sagittario asked. “I never claimed to be the leader,” Chi-yun pointed out. “No. I guess you didn’t.” Radiance said. “We all just assumed that.” “Wait a minute,” Yu suddenly said. “Isn’t Mei-Mei your sub-member for the world championships?” “Where’s the fourth?” Firestorm asked. “Never mind him. We know where he is,” Chi-yun said. “Huh?” Team Star Swirl all said. “He -- He’s not here right now,” Mei-Mei nervously said. “You’ll meet him eventually.” “More importantly, your Andromeda Sparkle, daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle, isn’t that right?” Dashan asked Andi, making her blush slightly. “You … know who I am?” Andromeda asked. “Of course I do. Ever since you tried to recreate your mothers spell, you’ve become quit famous in China and other countries, too.” Dashan said, while Tempest glares at him. “That’s kinda cool,” Andromeda said. “There must be duelists all over the world who would like a duel with you.” Dashan added. “Oh, go on now,” Andromeda said, blushing even more now due to some slight embarrassment. “However, you wont have the chance to face them,” Dashan added, which get the teams attention. “The fact is, the ones to win the first round and fight the rest of the world will us, Wang Hu Zhong!” “What did you say!?” Both Tempest and Sagittario asked. “You’ve all seen our varies training techniques, you must be impress with them. After seeing that, do you really think you can win against us?” Dashan added, which makes most of the team angry. “Of course!” “No problem!” “We’re not gonna lose!” Andromeda, Tempest and then Bismarck all said. “Why wouldn't we?” Sagittario asked. “You aren't the only ones who have been putting in long hours,” Firestorm added. “We’ve been training really hard to get to this point,” Yu added. “A good workout will never let you down. If you think you're gonna walk all over us, you got another thin coming!” Sagittario added. “You all got passion, I’ll give you that,” Dashan said. “Well, then, Andromeda, why don’t you join me in my training? You can show me the results of these long hours you spoke of.” “Bring it on,” Andromeda said in a series tone, which surprises the others slightly. “Us too!” Tempest said, referring to himself, Bismarck and Sagittario. “Guys, calm down!” Radiance begged, while Dashan smiles. “Let’s get you your uniforms, then,” Dashan said. ================================================================== A few minutes later, at another part of the monastery, with Andromeda, Tempest, Bismarck and Sagittario all wearing grey martial arts suits. “You look so cute!” Radiance said, which makes the four sheepishly smile. “It could be worse. Could be a kilt,” Yu said with a chuckle. Suddenly, Dashan holds out a 20 pound wight on the end of a 5 foot bamboo pole with just his limbs. “Whoa!” Team Star Swirl said when they saw the thing. “To defeat strong opponents, you also need to have incredible strength in your limbs, especially your front legs.” Dashan explained as he swirls the weighted stick above his head. “This training exercise is used to gain that arm strength. Being able to completely control this weighted staff makes one a true warrior.” Dashan said as he tosses the weighted staff back to where their rack with ease. “Whoa! That looks like a lot of fun,” Sagittario said as he, Andromeda, Tempest and Bismarck go to the rack where the weighted staffs are kept. “Piece of cake,” Bismarck said as each one of them take a staff, only to find out it's not as easy as it seems. As they try to control which way their going, trying not to run backwards like they are doing now, the others look on in embarrassment. The four eventually topple over each other. “Ow!” The four said, as the other members of the team look on. “Well, that went well. Didn’t it?” Radiance simply said. ================================================================== A bit later, at a part of the temple where there is a pool the size of a small lake, logs 2 feet wide and 10 feet long floating in it in an organized matter, there are targets on the other side. Dashan is one the other side of the pool with the teams, hold a bow and arrows. “In order to hit a target at any distance, you need a keen sense of balance. So being able to acutely fire an arrow on these floating logs makes one a true warrior! Hi-ya!” Dashan said before he jumps onto the logs. He jumps onto 4 of these logs, about halfway across the pool, before he fires the arrows. Each arrow hits dead center of the same target, before the last one splits the wooden target in two. “We should be able to do this one with no problem.” Tempest said as they take a bow and some arrows and jump onto the logs. The four stop jumping on different logs at different distances, and all fire at the targets. Their arrows hit the centers of the targets they chose dead on. “No trouble at all!” Andromeda said, before the four suddenly lose their balance, and fall into the cold water. “Ugh!” “At least they don’t have to take a bath today,” Yu and Radiance both said. “Hitting the target on your first try is pretty impressive. Well done, Andromeda.” Dashan said to Andromeda. “That’s true,” Andromeda said with a chuckle and a blush. “Hey! We hit the targets to, bud!” Tempest shouted. ================================================================== Later in a dark, narrow room, the only source of light being torches, there are dummies along the walls, with a large switch at the end. “If you cannot dodge your opponents attacks, you will never be able to overcome them.” Dashan said, before he charges down the room. The dummies then come to life, and try to hit Dashan, but he manages to avoid the dummies blows, and hits the switch, making the dummies stop. “Being able to overcome the wooden dummies attacks makes one a true warrior.” “If — if it’s just dodging, I can do that,” Andromeda said. “No sweat,” Sagittario nervously said. The four then charge down the room, only to get hit in the face on the first try. “Bismarck! Please tell me your still conscious!” Radiance begged as she and the others see to their aid, while Dashan watches on. ================================================================== Later in a nearby bamboo forest, Andromeda, Tempest, Bismarck and Sagittario are each standing on a single bamboo stalks, holding two buckets of water, trying to hone their balance, which they’re having trouble with. ================================================================== Later at the temples courtyard, Andromeda, Tempest, Bismarck and Sagittario are standing on their hoofs upside down, holding up 20 pound wights on the stomachs. ================================================================== Later, Andromeda, Tempest, Bismarck and Sagittario are standing under a waterfall, trying to withstand the force of the cold water. ================================================================== Back at the main courtyard, Andromeda, Tempest, Bismarck and Sagittario are lying on the ground, completely exhausted. “No problem. I can keep going.” Tempest said, though his body disagrees. “Please tell me you guys are all right?” Radiance asked as she places a hoof on Bismarck's forehead. “Not really,” Andromeda said. “What were you guys thinking, taking this so seriously?” Yu asked. “They’ve been training here for a long time, so of course their better at those tests,” Firestorm pointed out. “Your right. They have the advantaged,” Andromeda said as she gets up, and takes off the temples uniform. “We still should’ve done much better, though,” Bismarck said. “Absolutely,” Sagittario said, agreeing with Bismarck. “I was surprised that you were able to do as well as you did, Andromeda,” Dashan said to Andromeda as he walks up to her. “You are definitely Princess Twilight Sparkles daughter.” “Oh! What a nice thing to say,” Andromeda said, blushing like crazy, while Tempest just glares at Dashan. “We’re still here! Hello?” An annoyed Sagittario said. “No, really. Being able to do that much on your first try is truly impressive, Andromeda,” Dashan added. “What!? Are we invisible or did you lose your glasses?” Bismarck asked. “I know, you must be tired. How about hanging out with me a bit longer, Andromeda?” Dashan offered, which makes Tempest really ticked and Andromeda’s face to turn a bright red. “Uh … Sure,” Andromeda nervously said. “To do what, exactly?” Tempest asked as he gets up, ready for a fight. “To do battle with me,” Dashan answered, surprising the group slightly. “I heard you were exempt from the qualifying competition. I think it would be a good opportunity for you to gain more experience for the upcoming match, especially since you’ve only been in one duel.” “That makes sense. It’s on, Dashan,” Andromeda said. “Okay. It’s decided then. I’m honored to have this chance to duel the daughter of an Equestrian hero.” Dashan said, while Tempest just glares at him, suspicious of what their up too. “The pleaser is all mine,” Andromeda said as they all head to a stadium in the temple. “Are you ready to begin, Andromeda?” Dashan asked after he and Andromeda take their places. “I’m ready,” Andromeda answered. “I want to duel too!” Sagittario screamed. “I should warn you. Even though this is a practice match, I’m not going to hold back,” Dashan said. “If thats the case, then neither will I,” Andromeda said back. “3…” Dashan said as he takes on a defensive stance. “2…” Andromeda said as she takes on an offensive stance. “1 … GO!” Both Andromeda and Dashan said as they run in a circle around the 50 foot ring. Andromeda’s small size soon proves to be an advantaged, as she quickly catches up to Dashan and fires a blast at Dashan, but he jumps, avoiding the attack, and lands on the other end of the ring. “Looking good, Andrea!” Yu cheered. “Keep it up now,” Radiance added, while Andromeda fires several blasts at Dashan like a machine gun, but Dashan avoids each one. “You won’t get away that easy!” Andromeda said as she gives chase to Dashan. “Keep it up till he gets a stadium out, Andromeda!” Sagittario cheered. “Not good enough!” Dashan said as he jumps up into the air, and lands near Andromeda and tosses her far, where she lands right near the edge of the stadium. “Yo, Andromeda! Eyes open,” Firestorm said as Andromeda fires some blast at Dashan, but he dodges most of them, with only 1 out of every 10 blasts making contact. “Well, now. The leader of Wang Hu Zhong isn’t anything to worry about after all,” Yu said. “It looks like the training we saw earlier hasn't helped him at all,” Radiance added. “But, don’t you think something seems strange?” Tempest suddenly asked. “Strange? How?” Sagittario asked Tempest. “I’m not really sure, actually,” Tempest admitted. “But it’s definitely weird. Andi has been attacking since the duel started, but Dashan looks like he hasn't even gotten a scratch at all, even though some of Andromeda’s attacks are hitting him.” “Ah! You're right!” Yu said. “I don’t get it. Whats going on here?” Firestorm asked. “Does this mean that Andromeda’s attacks aren’t doing anything at all?” Bismarck asked, while Radiance opens up Andromeda’s saddle bag and takes out her Zapple Brick. “You know how to use that?” Sagittario asked. “Andromeda taught me how just in case she was in a duel.” Radiance said as the Brick begins to scan both Andromeda and Dashan. “There’s no way anything, unicorn or not, should be able to take that many attacks in a row without getting hu-- AH!” Radiance nearly shouted when the Brick completes it’s analysis. “What’s this?” Radiance asked, getting her team members attention as the Zapple Brick shows an aura around Dashan. “There’s some kind of magic shield around Dashan’s body!” “How? He’s not casting any spells,” Sagittario pointed out, knowing that a unicorns horn will glow a certain color when the unicorn uses a spell. “It’s not a spell, but it’s definitely magic,” Radiance said. “Chi.” Firestorm said. “In China, magic is called chi. He must be using his chi to create a shield without casting a spell, which means that he wont get hurt by Andromeda’s attacks.” “While on the other hand, Andromeda is getting tired due to all the failed attacks.” Sagittario said when he notices that Andromeda is starting to pant and sweet. “Strong Arm Barrage!” Dashan said as casts a bright green spell, covering his hoofs with what look like light green boxing gloves. Dashan then tries to punch Andromeda, creating small craters where Dashan hits the ground when Andromeda manages to dodge. “I don’t like this,” Yu said. “Get out of there Andi!” Radiance yelled. “What’s the problem, Andromeda?” Dashan asked. “It’s funny, I thought you had a lot more power in you then this.” “And you were right,” Andromeda said. “This fight is just getting started.” “If thats the case, let’s see what you got.” Dashan taunted. “Don’t hold back on my account.” “Well, since you asked,” Andromeda said as she prepares a far more powerful spell. This is weird, Tempest thought to himself. Why isn’t Dashan ending this? It’s almost like he’s waiting for something. Something like… “Come on. You're not gonna disappoint me, are you Andromeda?” Dashan taunted. “I get it now,” Tempest said under his breath. “Dashan is trying to figure out--” Suddenly, Andromeda horn begins to glow at a new intensity as she prepares an extremely powerful spell. “All right!” Bismarck and Radiance both cheered, knowing what Andromeda is up too, while Wang Hu Zhong begin to smile, when… “Hey!” Sagittario suddenly said as Tempest grabs the back of his neck, gets a good hold on his tail, and aims Sagittario’s head toward the two. Tempest then begins to wind up Sagittario’s tail, which makes is fires several lasers at the two. “What the!?” Andromeda and Dashan asked as they try their best to avoid this surprise. “WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, TEMPEST!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?” Andromeda yelled at the top of her lungs, her horn having returned to normal. “Chill out, will ya. I’ll explain later,” Tempest simply said. “Hmm, interesting,” Dashan said, getting the group's attention. “You really are an interesting bunch. Now, I’m very much looking forward to the first round.” Dashan added as he, Chi-yun and Mei-Mei head into the temple. “Dashan?” A bewildered Andromeda said. ================================================================== On the mountain path leading down from the temple, it’s sunset, and Tempest is furious with Andromeda. “Did you completely lose your mind!?” Tempest yelled. “What are you talking about?” Andromeda asked. “Tempest, spill. Why did you use me as a gatling gun?” Sagittario asked. “I did that to stop you from showing the enemy your best moves before the competition,” Tempest answered, confusing the group. “First I thought it was weird that he was only complementing you, Andi. It was rude and goofy. But after sucking up to you, he got you to agree to a duel so he can see how talented with magic you really are.” “I get it!” Radiance suddenly said. “Thanks to Tempest, the Chinese team still doesn't know how strong your magic really is.” “You're right,” a shocked Andromeda said as she and the others look toward the temple they were just at. “So we went to do some snooping on the enemy, but we were the ones whose secrets were almost spilled.” Firestorm said. “I nearly blew it,” Andromeda said. “I was too naïve to see through their plan.” “Good job figuring out what was going on, Tempest,” Yu said. “At least one good thing came out of this,” Bismarck said. “We now know something about Dashan’s abilities.” “A unicorn who can create a nearly impenetrably armor from chi. He’s a strong one.” Firestorm said. “He sure is,” Andromeda said, knowing that Dashan and the others can see them as they head down the mountain.
