//------------------------------// // The World Championships Begin! // Story: The World Duel Championships X // by The Avenger //------------------------------// The World Championships Begin! Up on Mt. Yunmengshan, Sagittario is training among the thick fog and pillars of rock. The lose he suffered from Chao Xin the previous day being his motive. “Just you wait, Chao Xin! I wouldn’t bet on me losing again. You are going down,” Sagittario bitterly said as he fires a blast at a nearby pillar, destroying it. ================================================================== Back in the hotel room, the rest of Team Star Swirl are reviewing what they know about Wang Hu Zhong. They are reviewing some footage from the Grand Restaurant Plaza’s security cameras. “We have to pay attention to Chi-yun’s speed and power,” Andromeda said as they watch Chi-yun and Mei-Mei do the Heaven and Earth Formation. “So, if you drop your guard for even a moment, Chi-yun will attack without mercy,” Firestorm noted as the begin to review the data about Dashan. “Yes, and Dashan’s main strength is his ability to create a shield of chi that can absorb almost any attack,” Andromeda said. “If either one of them stays in a defensive position, the chances of winning will drop,” Bismarck added. “Ah wonder how we can break Dashan’s defense.” “The last one shouldn’t be that strong. He’s just a griffin,” Tempest said. “But he’s not just an ordinary griffin,” Yu suddenly said. “Chao Xin, like all griffins, has a special coating on his feathers that lets him take really big hits without getting anything worse than a scratch, coupled with a clear mastery of Tai-Chi, his skill is quite impressive. Even a head on attack will be warded off and won’t do much. Whoever duels him must be very careful,” Firestorm added. “That’s the type of opponent Sagittario has the most difficulty with,” Andromeda said. “And yet he’s not even here at the meeting, is he?” Yu suddenly said. “Where is he and what is he doing?” “He said he was going to do some ‘special training’ up in the mountains. But he didn’t say which one,” Radiance said. ================================================================== Up on Mt. Yunmengshan, Sagittario is continuing his training, which is more like a hissy fit since he’s doing nothing but letting his anger get to him and destroying the rock pillars. “I need both speed and power. To beat Chao Xin, I need to send him flying before he gets the chance to deflect the attack.” Sagittario said as he imagines Chao Xin’s face on a nearby rock pillar before he fires. When the blast hits, there’s plenty of dust. “How do you like that? Huh?” Sagittario asked when the dust clears, showing that the pillars only got a crack. “No way!” A shocked Sagittario said. Suddenly, a boulder falls of the pillar and rolls down the mountain. Suddenly, he hears a lord scream coming from further below the mountain. “Ah! Not good!” Sagittario gasped as he runs down the mountain. He soon sees an old griffin that’s around Peach Cobbler’s height, with a bald head, and wearing an olive-green cloak is lying on the ground, appearing to be in great pain. “Are you all right, gramps? Did that rock hit you?” Sagittario asked. “My stomach. My little stomach.” “Your stomach! Did it hit you in your stomach?” A worried Sagittario asked. “My stomach … is empty.” The elderly griffin said, which shocks Sagittario as a loud growl from the old griffins stomach is heard. “Well, I have some food,” Sagittario said as he takes off his saddle bag and opens it up, pulling out a couple of potato chip bags and a few boxes of homemade cookies and places them of the ground next to him. “I also have-Huh?” Sagittario said as the potato chip bags and the cookies, which were right next to him, are now gone, the old griffin having already eaten all the cookies and finishing the last bag of potato chips, inhaling the food in seconds. A stunned Sagittario just looks on in shock as he pulls out a 2 gallon jug of water from his bag. “Ah, you ate all of my moms cookies before I had the chance to even have one,” Sagittario said as he levitates one of the ravaged boxes up to get a closer look. Not even a crumb. “Water!” The old griffin suddenly demanded as he drops the now empty potato chip bag. “Uh, here,” Sagittario said as he gives the jug to the old griffin, who quickly drinks the 2 gallons of water up in 5 seconds flat, which stuns Sagittario even more. “Ah, now I feel better.” The old griffin said. “Good for you!” A clearly angry Sagittario said. “I was worried because I thought that rock had hit you. Don’t freak out on me like that, gramps.” “I’m the one who got freaked out.” “Huh?” “What are you doing in a place like this?” “Special duel training, that’s what. There’s an opponent I want to beat more than anything.” “No kidding. Who is your opponent?” “He’s name is Chao Xin. He’s a griffin like you, plus he uses Tai-Chi, which really bugs me. I’m practicing so I can beat him before he has the chance to deflect my attacks.” “So that is why you’re practicing.” “Yeah. Check it out,” Sagittario said as he fires at the rock pillar and destroys it, earning an applause from the old griffin. “Pretty sweet, huh?” “I must say, it’s quite good indeed. Both your speed and power are most excellent.” “Oh, go on.” “However, that is quite meaningless,” the old griffin said, which nearly makes Sagittario fall in shock. “What did you say!? What do you understand about it?” “It is you who understands nothing.” “Who? Me?” Sagittario asked as the old griffin gets up and walks away. “Follow me. I will pay you back for feeding me.” “Where are we going?” Sagittario asked as he picks up his bag and follows the old griffin. ================================================================== A bit later, in a bamboo forest, “First I will teach you the most effective way to use your power.” The griffin said as they stop in a small clearing. “Huh?” Sagittario said as the old griffin points toward a bamboo stalk with his walking cane. “Bamboo? You want me to break bamboo instead of breaking rocks?” Sagittario jokingly asked. “No, I do not.” The old griffin said as a leaf falls into his hand. “I think it would be better for you to break this.” The old griffin said as he shows the bamboo leaf to Sagittario. “Huh?” ================================================================== Meanwhile, in Beijing's uptown, Chao Xin is signing autographs for some female fans, about 20 of them. “Can I have your autograph, Chao Xin?” “No, I’m first.” “Pick me,” is what some of the girls said. “No pushing, ladies. There’s plenty of me to go around,” Chao Xin said to them. “Chao Xin, you're so sweet.” “Your the best.” “Of course I am. Everyone knows that,” Chao Xin said as he sings the autographs one at a time. “Oh, you're gonna win tomorrows match for sure!” A girl suddenly said, which makes Chao Xin stop for a moment, remembering what happened yesterday, where he actually shouted. Yeah right. Like I would ever get serious about dueling. Me, shout during a duel? No way. Chao Xin thought. “Whats the matter, Chao Xin?” A girl asked, snapping Chao Xin back to reality. “I can’t wait to cheer you on at the big match tomorrow.” “Sure. Come and watch. I’m gonna totally mop the floor with them,” Chao Xin said, making the girls all shriek in excitement. ================================================================== Back in the bamboo forest, “A leaf?” Sagittario asked the old griffin. “Tell me, youngster. Do you think you can shred these leafs by punching them with your hoofs?” “Ha! That’s easy,” Sagittario said as he punches two random leafs. “How’s that?” “Your reflexes are good, but I thought I told you to shred the leaf?” The old griffin said to Sagittario, who realizes that his punches didn’t do anything. “Huh? I … I know that,” Sagittario said as he punches some more leafs, but not a single one even gets a tear, let alone torn to shreds. “What gives?” “Even if you have the power to break a stone, a leaf will simply laugh at your silly wast of effort.” “Huh?” “To shred a leaf, you do not need great strength or power. You must focus that power into a single point,” the old griffin said. Suddenly, he hits a falling leaf with the tip of one of his claws, and it shreds in an instant. “Whoa! Okay, clue me in. Just who are you, gramps?” “Who am I? I’m just a little old griffin passing through the forest. Nothing more and nothing less. Hee-hee-hee-hee.” ================================================================== It’s sunset, and Sagittario is doing push ups with the tips of his hoofs, grunting from the strain as the old griffin watches. “Focus your power, my young friend. Try to visualize supporting your body with only the tip of your hoof. Concentrate.” As soon as the old griffin said that, Sagittario falls to the ground. When Sagittario gets back up, a pice of bamboo hanging on a string suddenly flies toward him. Acting quickly, Sagittario tries to stop it with the tip of his horn, but all he does is hurting himself. “Ouch!” “You do not have to use so much power. If you are able to put it all into one point, you will be able to stop the bamboo with the tip of your own horn. So, please try again.” “Ow!” Sagittario said as he concentrates. Waiting patiently for the next pice of bamboo to fly toward him. Suddenly, to his right, one such pice of bamboo comes flying toward him. Acting quickly, Sagittario points his horn toward the bamboo and stops it, without getting hurt this time. “I did it! I did it, gramps,” a very happy Sagittario said as he turns toward the old griffin. Suddenly, 9 more bamboo tied to strings fly toward him, hitting both his head and parts of his body, which makes the old griffin laugh. “Hee-hee-hee-hee. Don’t get so excited, young stallion. You must concentrate.” “Ow! Okay, what do we do next?” Sagittario asked. Improving so much in such a short time. He’s a talented one. The old griffin thought to himself. ================================================================== Back at the hotel, it’s almost 10:00 p.m., and Sagittario isn’t back yet. “I can’t believe he hasn’t come back yet,” a worried Andromeda said. “What happened to you, Sagittario?” “We don’t know where he went, so we don’t know where to look for him,” Firestorm pointed out. “As long as he makes it back in time for the championships tomorrow, it won’t matter.” Tempest added. “Besides, after losing to Chao Xin yesterday, there’s no way he’ll miss his only chance to have a rematch.” ================================================================== In the bamboo forest, Sagittario is meditating in the center of four torches, his shadow in the shape of a X, with the old griffin watching. “Focus your spirit and then put all the power flowing through your body into one point. If you yourself memorize how to use power, the same results will happen with your magic as well.” The old griffin said. Put all of my power into one point. Sagittario thought, as he sees a vast, calm ocean in his mind's eye. Suddenly, a geyser erupts from the water, soon turning into a twister. Suddenly, Sagittario charges at a falling leaf, aiming his horn at it. When his horn hits, the leaf shreds to bits. ================================================================== The next day, in the Crystal Empire, it’s 6:50 p.m., and in the Crystal Castle’s main living area, Shining Armor and Princes Cadence are waiting for Twilight and her friends, getting ready to watch the World Duel Championships. “The first match will start in a few minuets,” a worried Cadence said as she gets some chairs ready. “Don’t worry,” Shining Armor said as he takes a hold of Cadence’s hoof in a reassuring manner. “They’ll be here.” Just then, almost on cue, Twilight, along with her friends and family, along with Taurus, Soarin, Spitfire and Blaze, arrive. “Sorry were late,” Twilight said as she and Shining Armor hug each other. “The championships will start soon,” Cadence said as everyone takes their seat. “Let’s hope they all do their best.” She added as she turns on the television, and tunes it to the right channel. ================================================================== Meanwhile, with the time being 8:51 a.m., at the Beijing National Stadium, which looks like a giant birds nest made of steel, and five pegasi fly over it, leaving behind colorful trails of smoke. “It’s finally time to decide the worlds best! The World Duel Championships X will soon begin!” A very ecstatic but overweight griffin wearing a purple bandana said. “As we witness the World Duel Championships X’s first match of the A-Block, the Bird’s Nest has been whipped into a flurry of excitement!” “Wang Hu Zhong! Wang Hu Zhong! Wang Hu Zhong!” The audience shouted. “With the title of ‘Best in the World’ on the line, the cheers of support for the Chinese team are deafening!” The griffin added. ================================================================== “And to pump up the madness, this competition is being broadcast via satellite, so everyone all over the world will be watching!” The griffin said on the TV, while the friends and family of Team Star Swirl watch. “Go Equestria!” Cherry and Berry cheered. “We’re behind you all the way!” Taurus added. ================================================================== Meanwhile, in a small town in the African country of Camelia, Leone, along with several others, are watching the A Block match in a saloon. “So, who’s lucky head will wear the crown? Time to find that out!” ================================================================== In the Beijing National Stadium’s corridors, Team Star Swirl, minus Sagittario, is running toward the arena. “It’s already starting. Oh no. Oh no! Where are you, Sagittario?” A worried Andromeda asked. “There’s only one solution: I’ll just have to stand in for him,” Yu said. Suddenly, they all gasp when they see a smirking Sagittario waiting at the end of the corridor, covered in dirt. “You guys are late,” Sagittario said as they all stop. “No way,” a disappointed Yu said. “Sagittarius Armor! We had no idea where you were. Thank you very much for worrying us!” Andromeda nearly shouted. “Where were you?” “That doesn't matter now,” Sagittario said. “He’s right, we need to get out there,” Tempest added as they all walk out. “Please give it up, for team Equestria!” The commentator said as the team goes up onto a platform. “It’s finally happening,” a very excited Tempest said. “The world championships!” “Lead by the daughter of Equestria’s Princess Twilight Sparkle, Andromeda, it’s Team Star Swirl. Will they win the first match of the A-Block, or will they return home in defeat?” ================================================================== “You show them, team Equestria!” Peach cheered on the other side of the world. “Fighting spirit! Go for the gold, guys!” Taurus added. ================================================================== “Next, we have the arrival of the team that carries the nation of China’s hopes for the top of the podium, the most recent representative team, Team Wang Hu Zhong! Chosen out of the 1.351 billion people in China, they are the best 4!” The commentator said as Team Wang Hu Zhong walks onto their platform. Chao Xin, however, instead of wearing a teal shirt with yellow crests on the shoulders, is wearing a yellow-colored jacket with gray fur trim, underneath being a gold-colored zip up shirt. He also has two broadswords on his back. “To amp up the madness, the leaders from the previous 9 teams are here in the stadium to watch,” the commentator said as he points above to where the members are. “Huh?” Sagittario said when he sees the old griffin who had trained him yesterday is there. “What is it?” Andromeda asked. “Nothing.” “Now, time to announce the match ups for the first round!” The commentator said as he points toward a giant screen. “The Advanced Guard duel will be Wang Hu Zhong’s Chao Xin verses Star Swirl’s Sagittario! The Second In Commander Match will be Wang Hu Zhong’s Chi-yun verses Star Swirl’s Firestorm! And finally, the Commander match will put leader against leader, Dashan verses Andromeda!” “Were counting on you, Chao Xin,” said Mei-Mei. “Don’t let your guard down. Proceed with caution.” Dashan added. “Yeah, yeah. No problem, Dashan,” Chao Xin said as he walks down the steps toward the stadium. “I’ll perform as brilliantly and cooly as always.” “Now then, appearing in the highly anticipated first match, Chao Xin is the first to arrive!” The commentator said. “YAY! CHAO XIN! YOU’ER THE BEST!” A hundred girls in the audience cheered. “Thank you, everyone. This won’t take long. You can count on that.” Chao XIn said as he arrives at the ring, waving to all of his fans. “The cheering for the home team is intimidating,” Radiance noted. “It feels like we’re a long way from home,” Yu said. “Ha! That doesn't bug me for a second!” Sagittario suddenly said. “Here I go!” Sagittario said as he runs toward the ring. “Chao Xin’s opponent has just entered the ring. Meet Sagittario Armor,” the commentator said, causing an uproar in the crowd. “Boo!” All of the audience members shouted. “Hey, bud. This is a nice green stadium. Couldn’t you at least tried to look more presentable? You know what I mean?” Chao Xin asked Sagittario. “You should worry more about dueling and less about what kind of clothes you're wearing,” Sagittario retorted. “Well, not everyone can work that little-brothers-hand-me-up-look. So congrats,” Chao Xin replied. “Enjoy that trash talking while you can, because it ends now!” Sagittario said, having had enough of Chao Xin. “Lets go!” Sagittario said as he steps into the ring, with Chao Xin doing the same, drawing out his two swords. “Awww! Chao Xin you're so cool!” The girls in the audience all said. “It feels like we’re at some kind of boy band concert,” Andromeda said. “The difference is that this guy is actually talented,” Firestorm added. “Show them who the boss is, Sagittario!” Tempest cheered. “So, we’re about to make history right here and now, folks!” The commentator said. “Let the fateful first match begin!” He added as he rings a gong behind him. “3 ... 2 ... 1 ... GO!” At that, Sagittario charges at Chao Xin, going incredibly fast. “Sagittario hustles here, going off at an incredible pace. It’s almost like he’s moving faster than the speed of light.” The commentator said as Sagittario races around the ring, circling Chao Xin, who’s standing calmly by. “Awesome,” Mei-Mei said. “It’s amazing how much he sharpened his moves in such a short time,” Dashan added as Sagittario stops in front of Chao Xin for a moment. “I focused my new speed and power so that I can make a single strike of lightning. How’d you like them apples?” Sagittario said. “I see your still annoying,” Chao Xin replied. “Can it! If you think you can dodge this, your dead wrong,” Sagittario retorted as he charges at Chao Xin. “I don’t need to dodge anything,” Chao Xin said as Sagittario is about to strike, when he, somehow, using his broadswords, redirects Sagittario’s charge. “Oh baby! Sagittario’s attack was redirected!” The commentator said. “You kidding?!” Sagittario asked. “Ha-ha! Charging head on into my two dao? Not a particularly bright move,” Chao Xin said to a surprised Sagittario. “He’s using deadly weapons here?!” A shocked Andromeda asked. “You’re allowed to use such things as long as you don’t hurt anyone,” Firestorm answered. “When making a live appearance on stage, you just cant show up in casual wear, dude. With all those fans checking you out, appearance is everything, man. You should know that,” Chao Xin said to Sagittario. “Oh come on! You can’t just win by dressing cool!” Sagittario retorted. “Says who?” Chao Xin asked. “Anyway, I’m not just about looks, I got the charm too. For example: I’ll slash apart anyone I see as my enemy.” “Yeah? Whatever, buddy. I don’t care who I duel, I’ll still send them flying,” Sagittario said as he charges at Chao Xin again. “Stop! Don’t go charging in like that!” Firestorm yelled, but it’s too late. “Fierce Sword Flash!” Chao Xin said as he easily bypass Sagittario's attack. “No way!” Sagittario said as he stops, when… “100 Hit Fearsome Splendor!” Chao Xin suddenly said as he spins toward Sagittario, who loses some hair from his mane, which is luck since Chao Xin’s blades were inches from him. “Watch it!” Sagittario said as Chao Xin stops. “Ha-ha! Yeah, keep on yelling. Like that will help you,” Chao Xin said. “I’m never giving up!” Sagittario said as he charges at Chao Xin, but the griffin uses his swords to counter each one of Sagittario’s blows, and is beginning to push him back. “Check out Chao Xin’s two fearsome blades! And they are fearsome, people!” The commentator said. Realizing that he has no chance by charging head on, Sagittario breaks away and runs around the stadium. He then tries firing a laser at Chao Xin, but he jumps up into the air. “That didn’t work either?” Sagittario asked himself. “Ha-ha! So uncool.” Chao Xin said to Sagittario. “What are you getting so worked up about, dude?” “What’s wrong with getting worked up?” “It just doesn't look cool.” “Get over yourself. The way you look has nothing to do with the duel at all. I’ll show you!” Sagittario said as he conjures up a sword for him to use against Chao Xin’s dao. Sagittario then takes the blade and charges at Chao Xin, but he blocks the strike by using his dao. “Okay, now you’re just embarrassing yourself,” said Chao Xin as Sagittario backs off. “This can’t be happening,” Sagittario said. “The sharpness has disappears from Sagittario’s movements,” Chi-yun noted. “He’s just charging around recklessly,” Mei-Mei added. “Can it be over already?” Dashan asked. Okay, stay calm. Sagittario thought to himself. How can I win this thing? What do I do next? Think! Suddenly, a bamboo leaf floats down in front on him. I get it! I think I know what to do now. “All right, bud, I got a date after this, so lets move it,” Chao Xin said, when he notices that Sagittario has closed his eyes and stopped moving. “What’s going on!? Sagittario has stopped moving around. Has he just thrown in the towel and given up?” The commentator said, as everyone in the arena and everyone watching at home gaps at Sagittario’s sudden stop. “Huh? Are you just gonna wait this out? That won’t do well for your image, bud. Trust me,” said Chao Xin, but Sagittario ignores him. Lose sight of yourself, and you lose the duel. Remember your training. Sagittario thought, remembering what he learned in the bamboo forest from the old griffin ================================================================== “To shred a leaf, you do not need great strength or power. You must focus that power into a single point,” the old griffin said. Suddenly, he hits a falling leaf with the tip of one of his claws, and it shreds in an instant. ================================================================== With his mind's eye, Sagittario sees a vast, calm ocean. Suddenly, a geyser erupts from the water, soon turning into a twister. Sharpen your mind. Focus all of your power into one point. Sagittario then suddenly opens his eyes, having a new look of determination in them, which Dashan takes notice of. “Time for a stunning finish!” Chao Xin said as he charges toward Sagittario. “Chao Xin, wait!” Dashan shouted, but it’s too late. Sagittario aims the tip of his sword toward one of Chao Xin’s blades, and when they make contact, not only is Chao Xin sent flying back, but the sword has shattered to pieces. “No way!” A shocked Chao Xin said when he lands, just inches away from the edge of the ring. “Whoa! Can you believe this? The way more skilled Chao Xin has just been sent flying!” The commentator said. “Whoa! Way to go Sagittario!” Andromeda cheered. “You better tell your date that you're gonna be late, because we’re just starting Chao Xin,” Sagittario said. “That was just a lucky break,” Chao Xin said as he tosses what’s left of the broadsword away. “Let’s take this baby home!” Chao Xin said, when Sagittario charges at Chao Xin, and manages to hit him. “Ow! You kidding me!? Now I con’t fend you off?” “Good luck,” Sagittario said as he swings his sword at Chao Xin, who barely manages to avoid them. “Talk about your surprise twists,” the commentator said. “Will China’s greatest team yet, Wang Hu Zhong, allow such an upset?” “What's going on, Chao Xin?” One of the girls in the audience asked. “Pull yourself together!” Another girl added. “I don’t get it,” another said. “The tables have turn,” Tempest said as they watch the duel. “Why do you think that happened, Andrea?” Yu asked. “Wow! According to this, Sagittario is now focusing all of his power into the single point on either his horn or his sword! Also, the special coating on Chao Xin’s feathers has been disrupted.” Andromeda answered, saying what the analyzer is indicating. “So Chao Xin can no longer keep up his main defense,” Firestorm added. “I can’t believe this!” Chao Xin finally snapped. “Hey, I guess dressing up and putting on a show hasn’t really worked out for you. Sorry, but you don’t look so cool now,” Sagittario said to Chao Xin, who’s losing his temper. “Don’t mess with me!” Chao Xin shouted. “I’m always cool no matter what! I’m gonna end this sucker right now!” Chao Xin added as he splits his remaining doa into two. He and Sagittario then charge at each other, shouting as they clash blades with each other. “This -- This is the most stunning duel I’ve seen!” The commentator said. “It’s a clash of power against power. Will against will!” “I’m defiantly gonna win this!” Sagittario said as he and Chao Xin back off for a second. “I’m not giving up that easily! Man, this thing is too hot to wear after a while,” Chao Xin said as he takes off his expensive jacket and tosses it aside. “Something's wrong!” “Oh no!” “Hang in there, Chao Xin!” Three girls in the audience all said. “Is that really Chao Xin?” A shocked Mei-Mei asked. “It’s hard to believe, but he’s actually losing control out there,” Chi-yun added. “But it looks like he’s not giving up yet,” Dashan pointed out as Chao Xin charges at Sagittario, shouting. “He’s kinda change,” a girl in the audience said to the others, all of them madly blushing. “Yeah. But this Chao Xin is even cooler.” Another pointed out. “Awwww! CHAO XIN!” They all shrieked as Chao Xin and Sagittario back off to do the final blow. “Time to end this now, Chao Xin! Get ready for some heat. Take this!” Sagittario said as he charges at Chao Xin. “Bring it on! Time to win big!” Chao Xin said as he gets ready for his finishing move. “Blue Dragon Whirlwind Sword!” Chao Xin said as he begins to pin so fast, that he’s nothing but a blur as he charges toward Sagittario. “Crystal spell: Flash of Lightning!” Sagittario said as deep blue energy surrounds his horn, having the appearance of lightning. When the two collide, a bright light appears as the sound of thunder is heard. Once the light disappears, everyone sees that Chao Xin is outside of the ring, with Sagittario standing triumphantly in it. The crowd then cheers. “It’s all done folks!” The commentator said. “Sagittario has defeated Chao Xin!” “I seriously rock!” Sagittario said. “All right!” Team Star Swirl all said. “Awesome, Sagittario!” Tempest added. ================================================================== At the Crystal Empire, everyone is celebrating. “He won! He won!” A very excited Orion said. “Yeah! My friends make me so proud to be their friend!” Taurus added. ================================================================== “Thank you, gramps,” Sagittario said to the old griffin as he walks back out of the ring. “You taught him how to use his power like that, didn’t you Wu?” A unicorn stallion around Twilight’s age, with a long dark brown mane with yellow highlights on the side, green eyes, a light red coat and a Chinese temple for a cutie mark said to the old griffin. “I did, but there were two reasons why. One is that Sagittario needed to learn to properly use his power. And two is that Chao Xin needed to learn a valuable lesson, and he’s learning it right now. Look.” The old griffin, Wu, said as he points toward Chao Xin, who’s grunting in anger and shock. “I lost? Me? This is so new, and uncool,” Chao Xin said to himself, when… “Way to go, Chao Xin!” Seven girls from the audience said as they walk up to the ring, surprising Chao Xin. “You really hung in there. That was so cool.” “You’ll win for sure next time.” “Here, use this,” a girl said as she tosses a towel to Chao Xin. Suddenly, a large part of the audience begins to chant Chao Xin’s name, which surprises him even more. Chao Xin then smiles, as he wipes away his sweat with the towel. “Guess it doesn't really matter.” Chao XIn said. “Yes, it does!” A clearly annoyed Sagittario yelled from his teams platform. “I’m the one who won here, so why is everyone making such a big stink about you! Hey!” Suddenly, Tempest grabs Sagittario and gives him a bear hug. “You did it, Sagittario!” Said Tempest. “Congratulations, Sagittono,” Yu said as he gently punches Sagittario. “Stop that! I’m ticklish!” Sagittario said. “The first match is a lost,” Chi-yun said. “But in exchange for this painful defeat, we received one excellent warrior,” said Dashan. “That’s true,” Mei-Mei added. “That’s ends the first round match for the A-Block in the World Duel Championships X. After a grueling match, Team Star Swirl now has one win.”
