Oddly enough, this is not actually the first 'EQG Pinkie jumps into the portal back to Equestria and now she's a pony' fic I've seen.

Actually I wouldn't worry about that. I've read both stories and I'd hardly call this a copy. That one ("Thirty Moons Later") is a comedy centered just around Pinkie, this seems like more of an adventure with a lot more characters involved. There isn't even much resemblance, your "30 Moons" was one month while that one had the 2.5 years one with a post-HS Pinkie.
Pinkie's the natural character for a move like that, who else would actively mess with the "Portal to Hell" sitting in front of the school.
I'm not surprised more than one author had the same idea. To be honest I'm surprised the EqG characters don't get ponified more often. I can't wait to see where this goes.
Well, this escalated quickly. I'm used to seeing twist like this around the 23rd 5,000-word chapter.

3001393 Maybe Chrysalis is overconfident? Or she wants revenge against Cadance. Either way, I don't think I explained it fully. The plan is to conquer the Crystal Kingdom, by impersonating Twilight and various crystal ponies. They won't move on to Canterlot, until the Crystal Kingdom is secure.

I don't think Human Chrysalis would be very happy at someone else moving in on her turf. Even if that someone else is herself.
Oddly enough, the ending of this chapter reminds me of a story I wrote about three years ago about a pirate named Buccaneer Joe. He fell in love with a princess and then he was captured by the guards (can't remember why). When he was about to say he wasn't a pirate (for some reason, I'll have to read it again), a guard said, "Silence, pirate." and knocked him out with a spear. It's a crazy Romantic Comedy full of adventure. Crazy, huh?

Wait! I just discovered an error! Human and Pony Sunset Shimmer can't exist apart because they are one and the same! Sunset went through the portal after Celestia banished her! There are not two Sunset Shimmers!
If I'm completely wrong, please tell me. I just understood EQG that way. Please correct me if needed.

Well, if Rarity and Fluttershy and Trixie and all the others all have human counterparts in Humanworld, presumably Sunset Shimmer and Twilight do as well. It would be kind of weird to have an alternate universe that has alternate versions of everyone except for two people.

3054047 What grammatical error? The sentence is italicized for emphasis. Twilight is normally italicized, because it's the name of a movie series, Since there's no such thing as double italics, the italics within italics are represented with normal script.
...Eh, maybe I should have used bold text for emphasis, instead of italics. Italics in italics is kind of weird.

I wasn't expecting quite so much satire, but this story was crazy awesome nonetheless. It just kept getting nuttier and nuttier until the nuts just started overflowing out of the bowl and all over the carpet. Great story. Insane, but great.
