It's a competition to see which team can find the hat of Starswirl the Bearded, located inside the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. With your hosts, Olmec and Kirk Trot! This is sure to be an exciting (and educational) experience for all of our pony friends!

Well we know for a fact that Twilight's team will get to the Temple games because there's no way she'll lose the steps of knowledge. The question is who they'll be against (and will Rairty be able to stop worrying about her mane for long enough for it to even matter). Odds are Rainbow will just decimate the games and make it into the temple. If that happens I can't wait to see Fluttershy run into a guard that can only end with comedy.

I really think you should not have disqualified Twilight and that Sweetie Belle should have been Twilight's replacement to even things out.
I think the Blue Barracudas will end up making it to the Temple, I can't wait to see Fluttershy freak out when a temple gaurd grabs her. And then Rainbow Dash will lose in the Shrine of The Silver Monkey since that room always seemed to trip up whoever got there, though there's hope since the artifact is in that room.

The problem is that since the artifact is there you can't do the joke about how everyone screwed up putting that thing together, even though that was one of the easier obstacles.

1980743 Can't I? My current plan is to force the winning team to go through every single room. Maybe they'll mess up and mistakenly think they have to assemble the monkey statue when they don't have to.
It wouldn't be the first time on the show that someone thought they had to solve a challenge, when they didn't. I remember a few people who ran into the temple second, and had no idea the doors were still unlocked, so they tried resolving the challenges. And there were probably some people who tried to solve the challenges, even after they got the artifact.

The really sad stories are The War Fan of the 47 Ronin, where they lost because of the room not opening when it should have, and The Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl, where time ran out while the kid was just inches away from grabbing the pearl before time ran out.
I guess to make up for The Mask of Shaka Zulu, where one team won in like 1 minute 47 seconds.

1980743 The Shrine of the Silver Monkey always seemed to trip up contestants. It wasn't often that the teams managed to win all the prizes. Usually you were best off if you had two pendants because almost no one ever found the other half to use and lost to the third temple guard.

Yeah, if you weren't going in with both pendants, you were screwed.
1981286 It was even worse if you won the tiebreaker and only had one pendant to use since to my knowledge there was no full pendant or two half pendants you could pick up.
The forest also seemed to give lots of contestants trouble, largely because as Olmec put it "Beware of the Temple Gaurds that may inhabit the trees!"

Those trees always freaked me out. If you only had the one pendant, you were more or less guranteed to run into all three guards.
1981785 And often times if the Dark Forest was around you could count on at one temple guard to be there. Plus with all the rooms it's amazing the contestants to my knowledge never lose their way, I don't know how they do it.

It was about damn time someone made a crossover with MLP and Legends of the Hidden Temple.
Funny thing is that I actually had team names except ponified thanks to a stream. I was at.
Red Macintosh, Blue Dash, Green Heartstrings, Orange Applejack, Purple Sparkle, and the Silver Derpys.
Of course The Shrine of The Silver Monkey tripped up Rainbow Dash. Also I thought that regardless of how many pendants you had if you were caught by the second temple gaurd you had to leave and let your teammate go in. At least she evaded the Dark Forest which always seemed to have a temple gaurd lurking in a tree.
Yeah, those poor kids who got caught by a temple guard in the Armor Room. Also, the Ledges probably should have been bold since it was an actual room.
I think someone actually made that mistake Dash did. Not quite the same as Poseidon's Trident, but similar.

I was about to say how you messed up with the lay out and how tit was the King's Storeroom, then the Chamber of Sacred Markings, but you already mentioned it in your notes. And I was okay with the Alicorn room replacing the Room of the Secret Password lol.
But I was annoyed that since Rainbow Dash can only get the full pendent and Fluttershy only gets the half pendent. But in this one RD had the 1 1/2 pendent and I felt that was a bit unfair. She should have been taken out after the Room of the Ancient Warriors and left FS to find the other half pendent.
