Just a quick question before I read it, who is Spike going to be shipped with?
Hmmm...Good question. AJ and Spike are a couple in this, so I'd say SpikeXApplejack. Also, this is my second story, so, I'm not as good as a writer than anyone else on this. Just a heads up.
Spike and Discord are the equivalent Male Shepard and Garrus
in the bros' factor.

I only had an editor in one story of mine, and even then they only caught a couple things per chapter. I just type my stuff in Microsoft Word before I paste it to FIMFiction, and while I'm spending a couple minutes reformatting, I usually find most of the remaining errors. Also, storytelling isn't just about good grammar and spelling, because everybody should be able to do that in their native language.

For now, focus on making a coherent story and working on your basic principles. If you try to be deep without having an understanding of intermediate-level writing, people will just call you out as pretentious, and your story will be considered a failed attempt to convey a message.
TL;DR Work on your basics before trying to go deeper, or your story will end up as "2deep4u"
