A thousand years have passed. Celestia and Luna, revered as goddesses, have been deposed and slain at the cloven hooves of Grogar the necromancer. Equestria is in ruins. Evil reigns.

Grogar, before his death, imposed a new religion based on the worship of a woman named Faust, who rules as a mythical being known as a human over the ponies. The ponies interpret her to be ruthless and fierce, and worship her with living sacrifices, awaiting the day when she will come.

But after one of their profane rituals to appease her, an arch-priest of the religion wonders: if their religion is true, why has Faust...not come yet?

Her plans are however halted when something has frightened Angel Bunny so badly that he ran out of Fluttershy's cottage and off into the Everfree forest on his own. Putting on her cap of bravery Fluttershy follows his trail until his tracks lead to a dark path in the forest. Some paths are meant to be ventured down , and some are definitely not....

When a freshly crowned ruler of Equestria Twilight Sparkle finally finds some free time from her new royal duties, she decides to make the most of it. Having recently found an interest in learning about the EUP Guard, she decides to peruse the palace library. While browsing the large array of books, she becomes taken by surprise when she accidentally opens up a secret passage.

Venturing inside, she discovers a massive labyrinthian temple hidden beneath the palace of the two sisters. At first, she's hesitant to explore the structure, but when Spike gets lost within its walls, she finds her decision getting made for her.

As she heads deeper into the ominous crypt, she'll find herself confronting unspeakable horrors and learning dark secrets that should have stayed buried. As well as forever tainting how she views the once illustrious princesses.

What you see before you is not exactly what one would call “a story”. It’s more like an unchanging meditation, reenacted from scattered evidence that happened to fall into my hands.
It was written according to instructions, left behind by the original game’s writer.
Many strange things and unclear moments you will encounter in this - whatever this is - are due to the requirements outlined by the original game.
Maybe it was just a mysterious hoax, but it probably wasn’t. I suggest you view this as just another crossover fan fiction.
I recommend you read this in a dark and quiet place, alone.

Cozy Glow's day felt like a wave of Deja Vu, as if she had done every last part of it before. Shaking the feeling was hard enough, and made her feel more and more irritated as her day went on. It didn't matter if she tried to "adjust" the deja vu to make it go away, grabbing objects, turning off lights. It all felt the same. Something was off.

At the very least though, Cozy could try her best to figure out what. What she finds, though, is the last thing she expected.
