After Mrs Glow's closure, and after accepting that her daughter's toxic behaviour was far beyond her help, Starlight Glimmer chooses to get an overview of Cosy Glow's past and discover where Mr Glow stood in the picture of her life. However, her mission proves to become difficult when Mr Glow doesn't answer all her questions straight forwardly. Starlight feels impatient and so, naturally, as any pony would, she challenges him to a game of chess.

Although Megan Williams has been happy to return to a land that she hasn't seen in thousands of years, she is starting to feel as if she has overstayed her return and is no longer needed to be there. Despite adapting to what has changed, she still feels as if she is a stranger in some way while reminiscing about the past. Her old enemy becomes her teacher and makes her do things to others she never even dreamed about. Twilight has gone off the deep end can her friends save her before it's to late?

When your everyday life is good enough for you, there has to be a day when your achievements you got so far crumble in just one day, and you don't have anyone for support, just a plush toy you got for years.

Twenty years ago, Twilight horribly botched Luna's rescue from the moon. Ten years ago, trying to save Derpy and Dinky, Twilight cast a forbidden spell she now deeply regrets. Today, Twilight wonders if she can ever make things right.

Eight months after the East Street killing, the unsteady peace the citizens of Canterlot have enjoyed is shattered by the changeling invasion. In the midst of the attack, the Blue Knight returns, proving the theory that he was killed too was wrong and sending Canterlot into a panic. Unable to regain the love of the city, the Blue Knight focuses instead on the return of the mysterious white unicorn who left him scarred and hated.

With the return of the Blue Knight, River Lily hopes to reconnect with the stallion she considered a friend. Investigating every clue she can find left in the aftermath of the Blue Knight's appearances, slowly she begins to piece together a much bigger puzzle than she ever could have expected. Meanwhile, Lavender realizes that, with the true return of the Blue Knight, her time has come to reveal herself to him and to finally determine the identity of the masked stallion.

Caught between the conflict of loyalty and morality, Hoodwink consigns herself to grow past the naivety and ignorance a filly of her age suffers from. Determining to become more than just the helpless filly the changelings targeted, she starts her journey to find the truth behind what is going on and why Canterlot seems to be the focal point of it all.

Starlight Glimmer receives a visit from another version of herself, one who presents an enticing opportunity to correct her past mistakes. Though Starlight worries about the consequences, she cannot help but wonder what would happen if she followed through with the other pony's suggestion.

After all, she wants nothing more than to reverse her past mistakes.
