After waking up from a nightmare she has little memory of, Apple Bloom is stunned to discover that she has become a fully-fledged alicorn! She quickly heads to Twilight's castle, in hopes that the princess will be able to shed some light on her sudden transformation.

Unfortunately, Twilight is just as baffled as the new Alicorn filly, leaving only Celestia herself to possibly have the answer. But both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have gone missing, leaving more questions than answers.

Could Apple Bloom's dream have a connection to their disappearance?

Is there a dark force behind it all?

One day, Equestria stopped being in one piece, and started being in a million pieces. The world literally ended. Life didn't. Any way they could, and any way they had to, ponies survived in the debris of Equestria.

On one piece of Ponyville, they survived quite well. Key Stone grew up with a simple but comfortable life. He spends all his time staring at the sky and buried in books, waiting for the faintest hint that life is out there.

And then it arrives.

Misty blindly follows Opaline's rule. She couldn't refuse, because she had nowhere else to go. No family, no real friends. No one knew who she was or where she came from, besides Opaline.

She feels shame for all the things she has done, from her lies to her outright theft. But everypony has a price. Opaline has promised her a cutie mark for her unconditional servitude. Opaline is an Alicorn, one of the most powerful creatures to ever exist, her rise to ruler is inevitable.

After helping Opaline, Misty realizes her mistakes and regrets them. Perhaps even a cowardly mare like Misty can stop whatever evil plan Opaline has in store.

Equestria: a land of magic, opportunity, and adventure. For Twilight Sparkle and her friends, adventure is in no short supply. And when a mysterious massive ship appears in the skies of Equestria, they find themselves on yet another adventure to discover its origins, and its reason for arriving in their small corner of the universe.

However, the ponies are not the only ones aware of the ship's presence. Triggered by the arrival of the craft, a long-forgotten being awakens, its last memories still fresh in its mind. And with the presence of the ship, it sees an opportunity for revenge.

Princess Celestia huffed as she flew as fast as she could to the meeting place, located in Cloudsdale, a little ways above and near Ponyville. She held the bundle she was carrying with extreme caution with a face of desperation, determined to get it there on time.

Her small alicorn form landed on the nearest cloud before looking behind her, seeing a small rainbow light coming right behind her, following her trail.

"Shoot," she muttered before running forward again. She huffed loudly as she ran through the dark streets of the mobile city made of condensed water vapor that will never fall. The princess of the Sun looked down at the bundle in her right hoof as it began to move before looking back up again.

Soon, after mixing her trail, she arrived at the meeting place, where two ponies, a stallion and a mare, were waiting patiently.

"She is on my trail," Princess Celestia huffed as she came to a stop in front of them. "You know what you must do." The stallion nodded quickly before she continued. "Same hair color. Make it work for as long as you can, no matter what."

"Of course," he said desperately.

"All you have to do is make sure she is happy," the princess told the mare. "Make sure she lives her life and suspects nothing. I will return when she is ready for the truth of her origin and purpose."

"Yes, your highness," the mare responded. Celestia nodded before hearing the faint roar of her pursuer coming closer. She looked back down and lifted the covers to reveal a small foal asleep, snuggled against the softness of the blanket. She smiled as a tear escaped her eye before she leaned down and kissed the foals forehead, nuzzling her rainbow colored mane.

"I will return, my daughter. My Rainbow Dash."

The days grow colder. The sun hasn't been seen in the sky for over a decade now. Summer has been lost. Ponies set sail from the old world to the new world. A land where summer still comes, food still grows, and green sprawls where it may.

A colt born in the harsh ice of the old world wishes to see the sun again. In hopes that he might find it, that he might find freedom in the new world, he boards a ship to take him there. He learns much and more in the four months the voyage lasts, but at the same time, he loses something he once held dear.

It matters not where he goes, for even here, the sky is white.
