Flim and Flam have a new scam with their S.H.I.P.P.I.N.G. Machine, promising to bring couples together. Of course, just because it's a scam doesn't mean it won't occasionally bring a couple together. A little help from Pinkie never hurts, either.

Vinyl is quite happy with her life. A minor secretary, she lives her life one day at a time, thoroughly determined to not let a good memory pass her by.

Octavia hates her life. She's the conductor of the orchestra she's played in for years, and suddenly realizes she hates everything about it. She just wants some freedom, some joy, something to smile about.

Fate brings these two together, and you get the auspicious opportunity to read their story.

After a medical exam, Scootaloo was given the news that she only has a 20% chance of ever being able to fly. Her aunt may be willing to accept that diagnosis, but Scootaloo isn't willing to accept her fate, and is determined to fly by any means possible, no matter what risks it may bring.

Set in the same universe as "On a Rainy Day", though this story is self contained.

Octavia’s life in Canterlot has not gone as planned.

Now feeling alienated and alone, her despair has reached a new low point. But in her darkest hour, the earth pony devoid of confidence and hiding a shameful secret is confronted by her deepest fears when an old friend visits.

Club Harmony is the hottest new joint in all of Equestria. Owned by Octavia Philharmonica and Vinyl Scratch, Club Harmony has become famous for its mixture of classical music and modern rock, bringing ponies from all over the land to experience the lights and sounds (and to get wasted at the same time).

But not all is well in the land of wubs. Vinyl and Octavia still have to deal with their personal lives, as well as the lives of their patrons. Can the two of them handle the responsibility or are they destined to crack?

Octavia Philharmonica would like nothing more than to practice her cello and to compose beautiful music all by herself. Unfortunately, her teacher Princess Cadance has other plans! Sent to Ponyville to assist with logistics for the Vernal Equinox Festival, Octavia wants only to get through the ceremony with as little interaction with the local populace as possible, but her plans are derailed by the return of two ancient evils. When the ancient tyrants Burning Sun and Nightmare Moon break free from their prisons and initiate a new era of war and devastation, Octavia finds herself and five other musicians -- Vinyl Scratch, Fluttershy, Lyra Heartstrings, Bluenote, and Medley -- caught up in a desperate race to find the Elements of Harmony and stop the alicorns. It will be a difficult journey, but it just might be possible, if Octavia can manage to befriend the other ponies... and if she can learn to truly listen to the music of Ponyville.

In the elite circles of Canterlot, cultured music is one of the essential luxuries for anypony with status. Octavia Philharmonica is one of the foremost classical musicians in Canterlot. Her music is at the very pinnacle of her profession, her performances highly sought after, and her talents attract a steady string of wealthy and influential patrons. Her talent, however, is not always enough on its own; occasionally, her job demands more. For the sake of pleasing one of her patrons, she must perform for a charity concert—a collaborative concert with her dubstep-loving friend Vinyl Scratch.

She and Vinyl must find a way to weave their genres together to create a new style of music for their patrons, all while maneuvering the tricky and underhoofed backstage politics of Canterlot society and the musical world.
