Not really much it at all different than a DJ and a cellist getting together ;p . Like I said, Those who are in a profession in which they share a common base of knowledge it would make sense for them to perhaps, but not always, develop feelings for each other. Whether simply friendship and camaraderie, or something more.
Mmm, yes my LOGIK makes some sense. Despite this fandom obsession with Octavia and Vinyl, I simply am ok with there being other possibilities. See also: FlutterMac. (I mean they are both quiet right? SHIP 'EM!)

This entire site is a way for people to channel their creativity through fictional horses. Be it a fic about lesbian ponies, torture, incest, self-inserts, none of them have any more inherent worth than the other. A shitty self-insert can have value by allowing people to develop standards. There can be no good without bad. Equestria doesn't, and never will exist. Therefore, any "logic" that can be applied to these stories is invalid. There's no canon about them, so the fandom can create whatever it wants.
